@MahA-pr7kr one CPC is around $1800 CAD! There are places where you can repair it that charge around $1500 CAD! My advice is to get a new one!

Hi Jomar! It is difficult for me to give a clear opinion in this case! It would help me a lot if you provide me with some fault codes or a print screen of the fault codes! The CPC (common powertrain controller) handles around 98 factors related with the rest of the control modules in the truck! CPC can send different fault codes related to the issue each module has! I am thinking and hoping that maybe they did a corect diagnostic procedure and they found out that the CPC is faulty! If possible give me a screen shot of the faults maybe i can advise you better!

Hi, it could be the CPC but it is not a must! You should plug in the computer and check the messages on the CPC and MCM modules! You should get an inactive code for CPC message has stopped arriving! If this message comes it is most likely that the CPC goes bad!

@@truckscanada3715 hi my 2015 cascadia has problems with the accerator and gas pedal. It completely does nothing when I mash on the gas. My mechanic changed the gas pedal, but still the same issue. Could this be a cpc problem?

We fix them too but the fix is not proper! It doesn’t last plus a rebuilt costs only 1600$ cad! Its only a processor reballing!

It is very important to do a read out with a diagnostic tool before trying to change anything!

Yes, your logic is good and acurate! You need to understand that all the checks were made related to MCM, CPC and ACM! These 3 modules can offer the same issue if not communicating either from internal failure or harness damage! After checking all and using DiagLink to follow the troubleshooting i came to the conclusion that the CPC of this truck is damaged! I have tested and confirmed with another CPC that i keep only for test and then i have ordered a new CPC for this truck! You are also right with the programming, it is needed to program the CPC module with the correct parameters, doesnt matter if you take them from the old CPC or you get them by the VIN number! Truck is on the road for many monts and the CPC has solved the issue! Best of luck!

@@truckscanada3715 yawn. Most likely the mcm and cpc was back on software and when you did the update it fixed it. What, freightliner put out a software every month last year. Most based on fuel mapping.

I have to disagree with you! The software version was up to date, i have checked that before anything! The CPC was just broken internal! I have been repairing trucks for 14 years and also have the the required knowledge and experience to troubleshoot corectly an electronical issue with any module! Also as a plus, i have more diagnostic tools than a normal dealer would have! If my troubleshooting ever puts someone into doubt he is more than welcome to be invited to my shop and prove me wrong! :)
