The fourth generation of the iconic Range Rover is 700 pounds lighter than the previous model and use aluminum in almost every part of the car. No more reliability issues with LRs than most other cars these days. Their factories are working 24 hour shifts trying to meet demand.and that many people don't buy unreliable cars. We have 2 and never had a problem with either of them.

Roman. I've got to say that this is your best video to date. I have enjoyed them before and pretty often but this is the best. And it REALLY makes me consider buying a Range Rover. You touched on (I'm sure) a sensetive subject for RR. And that's the reliability issue. I'm gonna try one to see if it's actually better. And you can tell them it was because of YOUR video

Biggest difference is the Autobiography only seats 2 in the back and of course has a lot more amenities for the the back seat passengers like reclining seats.

We want to discuss reliability but we only get the vehicle for a week. That' not long enough to determine the reliability of a any vehicle. We need a long term car for that and we have been unable to secure one from the manufacturers.

With Range Rover it is not about how much it costs but how much wealthy customers are willing to pay...and that number seems to be very elastic.

Great information, some of which is rather rare and not usually understood (the electrical engineer guy was brilliant!) The things they've achieved with their vehicles are amazing - the haters need to just move on and stop trying to compare Wranglers with a total of 10 electrical circuits to a 155mph-capable luxury SUV w/ 8klb tow rating and 20+ speakers. Same kind of kids that compare a Ford Mustang GT500 to a McLaren MP4-12 - capabilities overlap JUST enough for people to try and compare.

No we're not. This is certainly inside Range Rover Baseball but we seriously doubt that Range Rover would be keen to point our their past reliability issues like we address in this video.

I see your videos all the time, nevertheless, i wonder why don't see you guys talking about reliability. For instance I know that Range Rover is a pretty nice, comfortable, expensive and luxurious vehícle, but i have seen them fail over and over again, engine issues, fuel pump problems and the list goes on and on with the previous gen. It would be nice to know if Range Rover is doing something with this model to improve their reliability. Thanks and keep it up!

I am looking to buy a 2013-2014 with around 40k miles. I’m a huge car guy. Drive a lot of highway miles. People have scared me about reliability issues. I have also seen 540i’s with 320k miles. If I maintain it right, should there be any issues?? I feel like the got it right with the 2013 generation. Any input from current/past owners would be greatly appreciated!!

Just buy a bit below your top offer and keep a couple grand aside for a rainy day. So long as its maintained properly a Range Rover is no more unreliable than other luxury cars.

For the 2014 Range Rover, the base and HSE models will have their natrally-aspirated V8 engines replaced by supercharged V6 engines, which will improve fuel economy to 16 MPG city and 22 MPG highway, going the same route with the Jaguar XJ for 2013. The Supercharged and Autobiography trim levels will have a supercharged V8 for 2014. All Range Rovers for 2014 will have an 8 speed automatic and engine start/stop as standard equipment. Only the Autobiography has a price increase of $5,000 for 2014.

i guess some people care more about how many speakers the sound system has instead of how reliable the vehicle is and if it will leave you stranded in a desolate place. I guess when it breaks down on Rodeo drive it's not so bad, you can always call a cab.

Aluminium is still more expensive than iron. Also, supercars use aluminum as well.. they are even more expensive.. so yeah. It is more about the rest of the car, the feeling of luxury, focus on engineering etc.

I own a 2007 TDV8, the fact that I have the engineers in Land Rover in my country on speed dial says it all! Beautiful cars but like woman they are high maintenance and electronics keep on failing!

Range rover is reliable. Any vehicle can be reliable if you don't abuse it or rev the engine too much. Ask roman. Range rover is durable.

+SkyDance Hero since they're cooperating with ford and are built mainly or partially in india, yes the reliabiliy for a luxury and comfort known range rover sucks. And though it is beautiful and one of my fav suv. I hope land rover fix that issues.

I would never call Audi reliable. I would compare range rovers atleast ones after 2012 as a mid range reliability. If your looking for true reliability from a German car, my BMW has made it all the way the 235,000 and I've personally only had to take it in twice and that's because I got hit one time.
