Just a note for people who are contemplating the mini or pocket for wallet use. If you want just one planner/organizer for everything so both a planner and wallet and you live a simple life (ie. not a wife/mom, not a student, job does not require you to jot things down or have many appointment), then a pocket can work as your stand alone organizer. I use just solely the pocket size for 8 months straight and it works great.

1/2022 - Super video. Would like to see an updated version of this video for 2022, plus options for vegan or faux leather planners. I don't use leather, and it is so hard to find non-leather planners other than plastic ones. Looking for a compact small, wallet-sized vegan leather or non-leather planner (not plastic). Thanks so much!

I've watched this video several times. I actually bought the Malden Purple personal, and Malden purple Compact Zip. I would say you did a great job. I would like the get a mini and an A5 later. I'm so excited and hope I get organized. I used planners when the kids were little but haven't since I've been single. I really could use it. I love to make list but lose them. So I think I'm on my way for organization. Thank you for a great job...and BTW I will still watch this video again. (wish they still have the gray color)

I'm a new Filofax user (I'm awaiting my Personal Finsbury to arrive) and still learning about the world of Filofax and all the different models. This video has helped so much! I've watched so many videos about particular models individually but seeing them all together and compared side by side has been really helpful! I had pretty much discredited the pocket model as something I would never use because I thought it was much smaller than it really is.

snap! yesterday arrived my first filofax that I bought on ebay. It it cost me like 35 bucks frome some 2nd hand seller (very good one), and its an A5... but I should've seen this video before ordering. A5 is quite heavy, and I personally think I'm not gonna fill it all up. Personal should be the perfect for me as a begginer. Thanks for your video!

Thank you for this video. I have been wanting to invest in one with so many people swearing in them. I am a single mother college student working on becoming a nurse that has her own business so I am crazy busy and has to be organized or i will drown. I like the comparisons and descriptions you give because reading about them on the website I cant visualize as well as see them to figure out what I need. So again thank you and I am for sure ordering my first filofax.

Malden are great and I do own a personal size one but I just want to mention that they are slightly fatter looking than other organizers of the same size whether it be a pocket or personal or what have you. Since the leather is so flexible it can fit more than other Filofaxes of the same size. BUT if you are that kinda person that has way too many things to fit in and don't wanna go a size up then the malden is a good choice. I find it does get too heavy after a while.

I'm so happy I just buy my first Filofax A5, For me is the best size because a used to have always normal agendas with the same size that the A5. And I have a cakes business so it's perfect and with this video I see all the differences between everyone. Thank you so much for this video, I can wait to have it, because I live in Venezuela and I ordered to be ship to my brother's in Fl. here do not sell washi tape and all the cute things that you guys used to decorate the pages It's to bad

Jen, Yep....found a new, still in box Panama on ebay for a great deal. It just arrived and it's lush! I had written to you because I just can't find a lot of info on this filofax.... It's almost too pretty to use, but I'll force myself lol. I have a pocket Maulden I'm using as a wallet. Donna

I have been lucky to find multiple filofaxs in charity shops all for a few pounds each i have 12 and am using them as junk journals , glue books .and writing in them i adore them all.

Do you work for Filofax?! I know this video is almost 4 years old, but you're probably the first person I've come across that has THE MOST number of filofax's lol...and you know quite a bit! They should pay you! lol

Linda C The part at 11:08 is incorrect. Filofax does not make a personal size with 25mm rings. Gillio Firenze and Van der Spek do. All Filofax personal size binders have the industry standard 23mm rings, except for a few rare vintage models like the Cavendish and Portland Grand, which have 30mm. Of course, this does not include Filofax Compact size, with smaller 15mm rings.

I use the personal size as I can tell by your explanation but the pockets on mine are very similar to the pockets on the compact ( except the zippered pocket)but mine has pretty large rings so does the person come in different pocket designs.

The A4 organisers don't accomodate US letter sized paper, but DIN A4, which belongs to the international standard (ISO) paper sizes. The A4 is exactly twice as big as the A5. In fact, if you cut down an A4 piece of paper by half, you get two A5. One of the advantages of the ISO sizes is that each size in the series is half the previous one, and all of them (4A0, 2A0, A0, A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, A9, and A10) have the exact same proportions, which allows for scalling. Each size is 70% the previous one, so that you can use a copy machine or a printer and scale an original 70% to get it printed in the next smaller size.

The Deskfax from Filofax holds the B5 size paper. Like the A series, the B series papers also keep the same proportions and each size (B0, B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B6, B7, B8, B9, and B10) goes in between two of the A series sizes. B0 goes between 2A0 and A0, B5 goes between A4 and A5, etc. The Filofax Deskfax has nine rings in three sets at the exact same distance as in the Personal size. Therefore, a personal insert would fit in either the top six or the bottom six rings.

For the sake of completion (LOL) the ISO C series (C0, C1, ..., C10) determines the standard size for envelopes, being each envelope size on the series larger than the correspondent A size, so that it can accomodate it inside. For example, the C4 envelope (229x324mm) accomodates A4 paper (210x297mm).

+AnnyLovesPink I would recommend the Personal size. With that you can judge whether or not you will need something smaller (Pocket or Compact), or bigger (A5). Good luck! =)

I want to buy one right now and use it. but it's the middle of the year. will the paper have the year or no year. that way I can fix it up and start at the month I'm using it

+sheila aini Thanks for your question. If you purchase one now, usually it will come with half of 2015 and all of 2016. I would suggest emailing them just to make sure.

Hi loved this video....I am just about ready to purchase........a Filofax Pocket Classic?in red?...but am still hesitating...this video has helped.....just wondering...do u think I will notice a huge...difference in the personal/or pocket? There is a size difference. Think about how you would be using this organiser and what types of information you may be writing in it. It also will depend on your handwriting, do you write big or small?
