I'm having a bucker of a time doing some on my dad's 2011 Patriot and I tell you thank you for showing me that at the end because I was worried that I had to disassemble the emergency brake assembly. What I like about the connection for the ABS sensor is they literally slide right out with a pair of needle nose it's not push and pull or pull and push or any of that crap. You're very lucky you didn't have to deal with a ton of rust weld. I already have the polar from the shop and I needed to use it to take it off the Jeep. I admit that I was worried when everything came apart. When the bracket and The Shield and emergency brake assembly we're still attached to the wheel hub, I was completely discouraged and depressed thank you very much for showing me how to separate it I'm glad I already have the tool.

THE STUPID DESIGN BY JEEP FOR THAT SENSOR IS THE REASON WHY I HAVE TO REPLACE THE WHOLE HUB MOST OTHER CARS HAVE THE SENSOR IN A MORE SECURE PLACE THAT DOESNT RUST AND FALL OUT .. THEN .. THE DASH LIGHTS UP AND THE BRAKES COME ON WILE DRIVING (VERY DANGEROUS)...

Mine was actually 30mm, on a 14 patriot.

After rewatching I used what I had which was a 32mm. Little larger is nice especially seeing how much rust is on that nut. Ill make sure to note that in the description so every one knows.

ONE OF THE UPPER REAR CALIPER BOLT (14 MM) IS A BITCH TO GET A BOX END OR SOCKET WRENCH ON BECAUSE THE DESIGNERS AT JEEP PUT THE BRAKE LINE ATTACH BOLT IN THE WAY.. AN OPEN END WRENCH SOMETIMES CAN WORK BUT IS NOT THE BEST WAY TO REMOVE A STUCK BOLT.. ( THANKS TO JEEP ENGINEERS).... YOU MIGHT NEED SOME HEAT..

You do not need to remove that top bolt. Not sure what I did in this particular video but it's easier to undo the bottom and pull the caliper back until the slide pin slides put.

@@AnythingAuto I FINALLY GOT IT OUT BECAUSE I WANTED TO ''NEVER SEIZE IT.''.. ........I HAD TO REPLACE THE WHOLE HUB BEARING ASSEMBLY BECAUSE OF THE STUPID SENSOR HOLDING CLIP WHICH IS SO CRAPPY AND THIN,,, IT RUSTS AWAY , THEN THE SENSOR FALLS OUT AND THE ABS SYSTEM GOES HAYWIRE AND THE BRAKES COME ON WITHOUT ME WHILE DRIVING ,, A REAL SAFETY PROBLEM.. AND THE JEEP DEALER ADMITTED IT.. JEEP ENGINEERING DEPT.. NEEDS A OVERHAUL...!!!

Looks like it's been replaced before..no way it would be this easy..possibly axle nut not torqued properly.. maybe wrong installation

2015 Jeep Patriot, Wisconsin, 7 years later was a son of a bitch to remove everything, top caliper pin..forget it.. present day.. fixing the same hub..it's a breeze....anyway, either skf bearings suck or my torque wasn't right...ever heard of electronic torque attachments? Put on any wrench/breaking bar and you got a range from 50 to 250..even does inch pounds 👍
