10 жыл бұрынQuick test drive and sound check with the all new 2014 Jaguar F-Type V6S Convertible, powered by a supercharged 3.0 V6 featuring 380hp and 460Nm. I am sorry that these shots turned out kind of dark, and that I didn't have the opportunity to do my full and usual Drive & Sound, but I still wanted to share this thrilling experience with you. The best thing about this F-Type definitely is the sound. You cannot imagine how loud it is as soon as you turn on the "active exhaust system", just mind-blowing! Just imagine a 991 Porsche Carrera S with Sport exhaust and put an subjective 20db on top...almost Porsche GT3 like;-) This hollow and nasty sound is supported by very quick gear changes of the 8-speed automatic, in total an almost ideal drive-train. As I just drove the car at night I cannot talk too much about interior quality, but everything felt very nice and worthy of a 80k EUR sports car. I am looking forward to drive the recently launched F-Type Coupe in 2014. As always I am looking forward to your COMMENTS / LIKES and SUBSCRIPTIONS!

V8 sounds like an American muscle to me but this V6 screams "sportscar" Smooth yet loud

DJ JONES Its actually not, but both were ultimately derived from an ancient Rover motor. The ford 4.6, 3v, 5.0 coyote, landie 5.0, and jag 4.2 and 4.6 and 5.0 all come from the old rover engine.

I never tought that I would say that, but the sound is even better than the R32's.....and I have just driven an Golf V R32 again two days ago:-) Still the R32 remains an awesome car.

Automann-TV I have the chance to own a V R32 DSG, the last Golf ever with a V6 (and naturally-aspirated !). Yes, the sound is addictive. I have to agree about the Jag', it is marvelous.

The car is really impressive. I can actually think of owning one, but then as a Coupe. I am using several cameras to capture the shots, 2 GoPro 3 (+) and a Sony HDR 650.

Automann-TV Infact the shots are relly good. If I could suggest you some choices, try out the new alfa romeo 4c, I don't know your needs, but I know that for 70-80k you can affoard a full optional 4c (64k euros in Italy). maybe you will fall in love with her :D Anyway the f-type in coupè or cabrio are best choices either. (if you'll try out the 4c, post some videos!!!)

Let's see if I will have the possibility to drive an 4C, its definitely a good looking car, but probably a bit too sporty for my everyday driving needs. I am more looking for a GT that you can also do long distances with.

/// AMG Other way around. V6 sounds like an Asian car. Not bad at all but too much like a Nissan. The V8 is waaaaaaay louder. In a tunnel you get tinnitus from the V8. I have one.

@@trihardcx6743 Most Tesla and EV owners are ex BMW M, AMG, Porsche owners. Generally, wealthy people who are now done with unsustainable and in efficient fossil cars. I don't think EV fans don't hate fossil cars, but they just know what's better for smoother driving experience, bonkers acceleration, cheaper maintenance, overall better car for lifestyle and environment etc. Just makes more sense.

@@borinvlogs That's not true. Most people who buy electric cars do so for practical and economical reasons. Not a lot of people go from AMG to Tesla, but someone may go from a C220d to a Model 3 or an A6 to a Model S. Petrol cars still offer the greatest driving experience, that's why there are so few electric sports cars but a lot of electric commuters.

What time exactly? Right when the intro starts? I am not sure. Might be a valve in the active exhaust system opening!?

It's the sound of the hot exhaust system (metal) contracting when cooling down.

Hard to say as I haven't driven the new Corvette yet. In my eyes that is a tough decision as the F-Type is super emotional, but the C7 seems to be an awesome car as well, and even cheaper!

Yeah, I am looking forward to try out the V8 in the Coupe, but honestly.....this V6 is something else....it is really really loud;-)

Sounds all right. I had a 2.5 v6 Ford(or in USA Mercury) Cougar, for me, it was more sexier(ok, it was slower than this Jag, but I dont care, 0-60 mph in 7 sec).

This car is crapy waste of money tell how today I saw one and race it at the curves the guys was pushing the hell out of it and still have trouble trying to cath in the straight his acceleration was quick but I cought up guess what I was driving a Honda civic 98 with a k24 lol
