In this video we bought a remanufactured engine from Autozone and the thing is legit. Watch the video to see how simple it is to do this job.

Those hemis always tick real bad after a rebuild for like 2-3 minutes, then they quiet up it’s funny how I totally felt your iffyness on that first start up cause that’s been me a few times. Clean build man hope too be in your spot one day

Foot pounds man... foot pounds. Millimeters aren't a torque measurement. Just saying, not picking a fight. You're being very methodical and i like that. You've really showed and explained everything well. There's so many videos of doing this job, but they just do time-lapse or the job is already done and they just talk the whole time. Looks like you did a good job bro. It's not easy.

The rtv is necessary to seal only where the timing cover meets the oil pan at the engine side, as gaskets are not going to seal that joint. Same on the back of the engine where the rear main seal cover meets the oil pan.

That's seems unusually early to have to change your motor in a 2014 I have a 2012 with the original motor

What size bolts did you use to mount the engine to the stand?

Guess you figured out after trying the first one that there is no room for header wrap with shorty's if you want to be able to get the manifold bolts in.

Hey man my dealership diagnosed my truck by sound an said i need a new long block. They are throwing a remanufactured engine in it now. Am i okay to trust their word?

This just happened to me with my 2014. I had it brought to two different shops one was a Dodge dealer ship. They both told me I needed a new engine and quoted me almost 12 Grand. They told me they only paying $4,000 for an engine So I'm going to do it myself. $8000 in labor is just outrageous.

I don't know how one drops a pushrod straight through to the oil pan...🤦‍♂️

They put it in the wrong hole on a cylinder head it falls through the oil galleys
