I wish the EcoDiesel was available on the Sport trim level. Right now I'm 50/50 the Ram vs the 2015 F150 on my truck buying. I love this truck.

Norm, good job with your walkaround on the truck. Lots of info and appreciate that. Personal feelings on this truck is this... Positives: Great looking truck, in and out. Powerful Hemi. Negatives: Just can't abide that rotary shift knob man. Having a console or column shifter, even in automatic, gives you a physical/mechanical connection with the transmission. The rotary shift knob is an electrical connection only so, it disconnects you the driver from the transmission...not good. Also, auto transmissions that allow you to go clutchless manual are fun and I'm surprised with a hemi under the hood the ability to go clutchless manual is not an option??

I had it for about 2 years and traded it in for a 2017 super duty which I still have and it’s great. But in the 2 years that I owned the ram I never had any problems with it.

Another thought on the rotary shift knob. How do you shift into neutral if you have a power failure? A situation could arise where you need to move the truck off the road and won't be able to due to this electrical control shift knob! This is looking down the road aways as I would hope engine stalls aren't something you should have to worry about in a new truck. Just a thought.

You know all the shifters are electrical, not just the dial shifter in the Ram. None of them connect manually to the transmission anymore. They literally just changed it from a column lever, to a dial. The electrical components are pretty much the same.

So you can get the Active Grill Shutters with the 5.7L Hemi? I'm assuming only with the 8-Speed TF Transmission

Active shutter comes standard with 5.7L V8 HEMI with 8 speed transmission.

Again, did not know that. Thanks, I was pricing a few RAMs looking for something suitable for myself, and it just killed me not knowing if it did. It's this kind of customer support and response that made me Like and Subscribe. Also don't forget to mention that the 8.4 UConnect and 8.4 UConnect w?Nav comes with a Wi-Fi connectivity, if you pay for it, you know going through the dealership and such.

I love this truck, other then the hood scopes. If they were real that would be one thing but being they are fake they are kinda taky, but everything else is awsome.

That hood is an optional feature, you can get the regular one without hood scoops as well!

96 liter standard with a 122 liter optional tank. Gas is great for a Pickup! its no Nissan Versa though lol

Norm: a real lay person's review, nicely done. I am trying to decide between the big 3. As much as I hear bad things about the Dodge it sure looks cool. But I have concerns .I heard the bed crumples easily. Is the Ram got thin metal that won't hold up as well as a GMC or F-150? Why is it's resale value so low if it is an award winning truck? Unless someone starts pointing out valid draw backs, I may be looking at one of these. I wish there was a magic site where all 3 were honestly compared detail by detail side by side. Are these not as quiet as the GMC's? I thought I had it down to a Platinum F-150 or a Denali GMC, but now a Longhorn looks nice. I just don't want to pay low low 50K and then watch it devalue to 20K as I drive off the lot.

Hi Bill! In my opinion to make purchase based on a money might be wrong ;) And Ram trucks still going to be better price than others ;) + better quality build. Resale value matter only if you sell this truck tomorrow ;) We own the GMC store as well by with all fairness I'll take GMC out of this list. and like you sad every manufacture has week points and some bad thinks in a past (even Ferrari) ;) I try both trucks- Ford & Ram, stand side by side - look at every small detail (door sealing, suspensions, carpet, metal components and everything else ;) thats why I'm selling Ram trucks and sharing my experience with you people ;) Ram in opinion for the last 3 year is the best truck ;) But again - everybody have his own opinion and experience ;) And HEMI - rulllzzzz ;) By the way keep in mind - RAM trucks design, new body and quality control coming from Europe ;) You point me good idea to make video with all trucks side by side ;) Thanks you bro. Honestly all three are pretty much on par with each other now in terms of quality and dependability. Ram's new 8 speed transmission is built by company out of Germany, and it has a very good reputation. The 5.7l Hemi has a good track record for twelve years now. Uconnect system is user friendly and a lot less problematic than other's, such as my ford touch. MPG is the same as the eco boost and only one mpg less than GM"s new eco tech 3 5.3l v8. I'd say you can't go wrong with it. Same probably goes for Ford & GM, it's just whatever you prefer.

k3v015Mk I see all three and I'm comparing all truck from professional point of few: build quality, resale, equipment, features, % rates and more. And in my opinion Ram 1500 is better long term investment ;)

to the recent owners: do you notice that is unduly loud? At the competition sales lot I'm told the Ram is very loud and I am looking for quiet with my new high end new truck. I know GM and Chevy claim theirs is super quiet ride but I am talking about the exhaust being loud. I am really liking those Ram boxes on the back with the lock on the remote control. The more I see these the more I like them but the Ford salesman said politely he wanted to make a point. After 5 years with the Dodge I would get so little trade in value, I would essentially lose my 55K. He claims with the Ford I would retain some value. Any thoughts on this?

If you want to have a quieter exhaust, don't choose the RAM 1500 Sport, they have a throatier exhaust..that's about it...maybe not the Laramie models either Bob Hegbloom (RAM Sales and Marketing) Said that they have a "More refined exhaust tone"

I meet a lot of people who said they are not happy with some thinks but its all ended up they didnt know how to use equipment (salesman at delivery did the bad job and didnt show up everything properly). I own a 2014 Ram Sport and absolutely love it. Everything you shown, I have in my truck except the air suspension but my truck also has the Ram Box. Lots of storage. When you first look into the box it looks like their could be less storage as the wheel wells are gone but you actually get the same if not more storage. I'll never own another truck, this truck is awesome! Can't beat the 8 speed automatic!

This is a nice truck as long as its a V8 with ""NO ECO BOOST "" and no chrome or touch screans they are cheap and ghetto lookjng and just make the truck expensive trucks are for work and for family , and as well as just for fucking mud up but their is nothing wrong with keeping a truck as a actual truck not a touch screan ghetto chrome pile of shit , but this truck in the video looks nice exept for the chrome and shit like that
