I'm hearing a 'whooshing' sound as I accelerate and some back fire when I let off the throttle. Took it to a shop for a smoke test and they said I have a leak for part 14459AA680, which I believe is the hose you're taking off in this video, just below the intercooler. I won't know for sure until I get in there but based on your experience, is it the clamps that go bad or is it more likely that I may have a hole in the hose somewhere? I was told the clamps may just need to be tightened but like I said I won't know for sure until I get in there. Also, no CEL and I'm getting adequate boost, just a noticeable loss in power along with abnormal noises (whooshing, backfire). Thanks for the help!

Hey i think my oem coupler is stuck and cant get it off the throttle body. Any suggestions?

Just picked up my WRX Tuesday. So these engines are known for bad clamps? I may consider this if its that common.

I just purchased some 89 cent clamps for my radiator hoses. Now I'm regretting not buying more expensive ones. I really wonder about the quality difference.

Great video. Thanks for that. I'm curious if you think the clamps really need replacing? I didn't really see a clamp comparison in your video. I know some of the clamps have a habit of digging into the hoses - but from the clamps you replaced i'm not sure if that made a huge impact. I'm thinking if I do this, I may replace the dogbone mount and throttle hose if not intercooler altogether, but just curious what your thoughts were regarding the necessity of the clamp replacement
