Long before the first hybrids came along 15 years ago, there were generally described “fuel sippers” and if any conventionally powered car can be called one of these, it would be the Toyota Corolla.
Of course the sliding scale of what’s considered “good” gas mileage has gone up, but with its full overhaul of the compact sedan for 2014 and carried forth for 2015, the “Eco” version of the Corolla is rated up to 30 mpg city, 42 highway, 35 combined.

I drive a 2006 Corolla (with 170,000 miles on it) and so far its been trouble free. Just last month the only thing I had to do was have some welds on the exhaust flange near the muffler re-welded because they were cracking, but other than that there has been zero problems with the car. I've replaced the battery at 100,000 miles because batteries usually go dead around there. I've replaced the tires countless times. I've changed just regular things like wipers, brake pads, floor mats, engine oil and other fluids, but nothing else. My car has been hit from the side twice now (always the other guy's faults), and I just push out the dents and spray paint it with more black paint, so my repair costs are near $$$ zero. And that's a good thing because at the age of my car if I went to insurance companies to get my car repaired the cost of repair is higher than the market value of the car, so they would have just scrapped the car and given me $50 to go get another car (good luck with that). Anyways, using Mobil 1 synthetic oil seems to keep the engine really clean, no sludging, and I think I can get another 100,000 miles out of it easily before I go and buy a new car. I love the reliability of my old Corolla but I sat in the newer designs and I just cannot get used to the fact that the new seating position is a lot lower, the roof is a lot lower, and the result is that I don't get as good of a view out head to see the road that I get in my OLD Corolla. So when my old car goes I'm probably going to go out and buy a used 2006 - 2008 Corolla again, but with less miles it. If I had to buy a NEW car, it would probably be the new Nissan Micra as I sat in one and it had the feel of the old Corolla (nice and high seating position, good view all around). There is a new Mazda2 coming out, and I really like that too, so I might get that instead. I just cannot get used to the lower seating profile of this new Corolla design, it completely turned me away.

I just bought the 2015 Corolla LE eco and I really love it. Mine is evergreen mica and drives like a charm. I hope to see great mpg on the highway. The space in the care is really great.

So how do you rest the maintenance required light when the rest button is not in the dashboard

Whole reason why I'm watching is to see what actual mpg it gets. What the sticker says, and what it actually gets are always different.

I've only recently bought one, but I get about 37 mpg at reasonable speeds, 60-70. If I push it up to the 80s I drop to low 30s.

1:59 That's not strictly correct. It's not just different valve timing. It's a design change to the throttle body.

What are you looking at when the camera changes? I know you have two cameras there but your only looking at one of them. Its confusing to me.

It is just a different angle. Basic video production commonplace.

I got a 2015 Corolla S Upgrade Version, and it has a eco feature on it too, but not the engine. only the eco version car has the eco engine, but still a very good mileage car. Not very stylish car, compare to Honda civic or Mazda 3 or 6, but still good enough car
