That climbs effortlessly. My 5.4 Triton screams at 4k rpm pulling 5500 lbs at 55 mph. 😆

I've had a '14 6.7 Cummins, '16 6.7 power stroke, '18 6.7 power stroke. I'm in love with the power stroke.

ive run oil temps 260deg for years without any issues I called amsoil and they said there oil is still good at even beyond 300deg.

They all tow really well pick what you like and go with it

I'm surprised you trans temp is so low!

Gearing plays a big part in how these things pull plus tire size what is the setup on the truck

Wow those high temps would make me nervous.
@aoleson4 жыл бұрын
Yeah I dont like it either. But that's just what all the 6.7 powerstroke run at. And I've done research about it and never heard of it being a problem for anyone
@TermiteBenny4 жыл бұрын
The main thing that could happen is the oil could break down quicker. Keep good oil in it and it should be good to go.
@aoleson4 жыл бұрын
@@TermiteBenny yes I keep the oil changed every 5k regardless even if the dash doesn't say I'm due. But I have already got a kit for a oil analysis for my next oil change I do. Then I will really see the quality of it and how it is

Good ideal, no matter what a oil sample is good to do. It will show things at a microscopic level. I do samples on my stuff just to keep tabs on everything.

Do you run full synthetic oil?
@aoleson3 жыл бұрын
Nope. Just the motorcraft 10w-30 diesel oil. With motorcraft filter

I just recently bought me a 2011 f350 and that temperature gauge got me really scared and thought it was overheating and had to pulled over, but the coolant reservoir it wasn’t even boiling, So I guess it’s normal on this 6.7s
@aoleson4 жыл бұрын
So from what I have found out about it is that the dash gauge takes coolant and oil temps and gives you a general engine temp. It any of then do start to over heat the truck will go into reduced engine power mode so you really cant over heat it

6.7’s do well running hot. I’ve had mine pushing 235+\- and called to ask ford and they said this is normal depending on environmental conditions. It’s not going to hurt it.

Do you have any say in which truck is built better? I’ve only owned ford (7.3 and 6.0) I’m only 18 so I’m trying to build my credit so once I can afford a newer truck I’m not sure if I wanted to go with a 6.7 Cummins or powerstroke I use the truck for rig welding and I like a good all around truck as far as safety and build quality
@aoleson4 жыл бұрын
The ford 6.7 powerstroke and cummins 6.7 are both great trucks for work. Cant go wrong with either of them. But if you do decide to go with a ram just make sure it's got the Asian transmission.
@a-dog80753 жыл бұрын
Cummins because with ford they use all kinds of parts that are only ford parts. Like "Ford" bolts so not a lot of people will work on them if it breaks down. Cummins is also a inline 6 which makes torque at lower rpm for towing. Cummins is just a little bit better
@littledeel3 жыл бұрын
@@aoleson Asian transmission XD hahahahaha
@charlesedwards803011 ай бұрын
@@a-dog8075most of the bolts can be replaced with arp bolts. Plus ARP bolts are better usually. This is just from my experience.

Scream? Duramax has ALWAYS had a far higher rpm range than ford or dodge. Significantly higher. That's why they aren't as reliable.

That’s the stupidest shit you could ever do. The 6.7 powerstroke is gonna out do that bullshit Cummins. Always one dodge moron who can’t help but open his mouth and spew stupidity.
