It’s the most regular super car ever. It’s fast, but not visceral like a Ferrari. It makes noise, but not thundering like an LS. It looks aggressive, but it’s not a Lamborghini. It’s perfectly adequate at everything. But I’d still rather own a C8.

V8 engines become quieter at high rpms because it becomes more balanced. 4 cylinders do the opposite.

@@angelgjr1999 Uh, how would that work? The firing sequence doesn't change. Some engines sound better at higher speeds because they sound decidedly lumpy at low speeds, and higher speeds mean there just isn't time for the shaking to get too bad.

At least with Ferrari, you know that the new car embarrasses the predecessor in every single way (as Clarkson said in his Ferrari 458 test). With Lamborghini, they don't change too much. With Porsche, their 911 can be whatever you want it to be. McLaren, on the other hand, is basically the Apple of supercars. Same phone, different size.

Possibly with my car. I did find myself driving home with a rifle one day that was worth more than my car, and that was before it was totaled. As we often find with older high mileage cars however, "totaled" often doesn't mean ""totaled"", and so some time later, I also got new tires and wheels, that were probably worth more than the car was worth... thus doubling its value.

it's true tho. if you have bad driving habits (too fast, too impatient, too aggressive, etc), buy yourself any 600/750/1000cc, hurt yourself in a good off, and suddenly driving is somethin you do at a relaxed pace because it's no-longer impressive or exciting. the key is to get enough seat-time with bikes w/o gettin killed.

If you have a strong preference for either, you will think that one is better sounding. Not that it matters, but personally, I love the angry roar of the Corvette as much as I like sweet and more sophisticated Mclaren's sound.

I have to thank you for something, and confess something. I like giant robots. I don't even own a car. I am making a robot game. They go very fast and take a lot of work to skate or fly. Your reviews are apparently influencing said game. You're why I use the good physics™ now in versions and why I haven't posted an update in months. I have watched so many of your videos scribbling down notes like a hung-over university student queasy and sick with adderall and the fear of life's inevitability, that somewhere, youth ends. A hundred videos, probably more. I suddenly care about grip, stability, and I'm obsessed with noise, shake and feel in a way I've never been before. I am disassembling Gran Turismo *FOR FUN* to see how the game's programming works because of this channel and prior to it, I hadn't even PLAYED it. Suddenly, I care about flavour, grip, weird handling behaviours, and notes, like I'm describing a fine fucking wine. You've awakened something in me: For the first time in my life despite the fact I live in a nowhere place where public transport is exceptionally good and cars are rare, I want a car, for no other reason than to have one. It doesn't have to be fancy or big or expensive, it just has to be mine, and be loved even for its faults. And for making me realize this, I thank you.

A note on the picture from the front windshield being blown out. It's because of the tint applied to the side windows. The GoPro adjusts the exposure due to the dark cabin and dark side windows causing the un-tinted front windshield to appear blown out. If you put the side windows down it would appear like it normally does (albeit you'd have a ton of wind noise).

I agree. I think the styling is strangely generic for something with that kind of performance. The only car of theirs I like the looks of is the GT, which is classically handsome rather than too low and swoopy to be attractive. Ferrari gets it right sometimes. Lambo did better in the Murciélago and Gallardo generation, but at least the rather angular current generation are distinctive.

I typically don't comment on these things, but I must add the 675LT has probably the worst turbo lag of any modern sportscars I have ever experienced. Truly underwhelming at anything under 4000 RPM. I understand this car is for "TEARING UP THE TRACK," but as mentioned in the video, taking the car to any unsanctioned track events voids the warranty. Additionally, as mentioned, getting in and out of this car is exceptionally bad, even for a car of its caliber. This is a track-focused, road car that can't be "roaded" properly, and "shouldn't" be tracked. It is a really cool car, but personally had hoped for more. Love the videos!
