The newer nissans with the cvt transmissions seem to be worst than the previous versions! There are codes that are being set at low miles on vehicles that are still being paid for!!!!!

Where is the transmission pressure sensor located!?
@thisisyourtransmission Жыл бұрын
The pressure switches are located on the valvebody.

Yes, if you clear the code.. The car has to be driven, and if the judder isn't detected during that drive cycle.. The code will go away.. But, it's usually due to the belt slipping, and once it slips.. it will continue to slip until repaired or replaced.
@thisisyourtransmission3 жыл бұрын
The only reason a belt will slip is if it does not have enough clamping pressure. However, still no one has been able to find the reason yet.

You told us absolutely nothing on how to fix this issue... waste of time..
@damoncrowfeather46558 ай бұрын
@@solo1racing Sure I did.. I said, it's usually due to the belt slipping, and to fix it, the transmission would need to be repaired or replaced. That's it. You could try a fluid drain and fill, it might help somewhat.

Confirmed on my 2015 Altima CVT with 300K km. Replaced trans oil 3 times (only 50% of the old stuff drains out unless you use special equipment), meaning 88% new fluid. The old fluid was black and there was judder after a long drive. The new fluid is clear with a green tint, the cooler is too hot to touch and the judder is gone. The reason is that CVT fluid contains friction modifiers that help the belt grip the pulleys. Old fluid - especially if its been cooked due to the poor standard intercooler - loses the modifiers over time and mileage resulting is the belt losing grip and slipping. Make sure the shop knows what its doing. Not all mechanics are familiar with CVTs. Make sure the shop uses compatible CVT fluid and NOT ATF. And make sure they set the level correctly. I did it myself as a relatively competent amateur. Cost about 200$ altogether in fluid and like 70$ for a cooler kit from Amazon. Better than 4K for a new transmission. Unless the CVT unit is too far gone of course then you're SOL.

Only nissan I'll buy is the sentra. We got a 2015 lexus is350 and they're made by Toyota in Japan and we got it with 80k miles and now has 180k and not one problem with it. BEST BUY EVER!
