I own this exact car! Mines stage 3 and makes 4XXhp and let me tell you it takes care of it not being fast enough and makes for the perfect daily driver. Add some 20mm wheel spacers and a kart boy short shifter with a trans pitch mount and you have one of the best driving cars you can buy! Edit: I do have a mechanical boost gauge and oil pressure gauge on my A Pillar. Fixes the laggy boost problem, I just keep the clock up :)

Good work boys. Great to see a new gen of You Tube car journos meet the last gens of the STI instead of us 40-somethings who have done it to death. Once you Subaru it is hard to fall out of love.

The base wheels look better, until you have to clean them, you start to appreciate the fewer spokes found on the BBS wheels.

I had 9 Imprezas, the last one being a 06 Hawk with 554bhp before buying my ISF. I've test driven this model your testing and found it too slow although the interior was hugely improved. I loved the Subaru community but the ISF is in a different league and is bombproof reliable and no pesky boost leaks lol

I just finished the video and LOL the G37 coupe i was originally going to buy is in the video!! I went to Looloo auto first when i was looking for a G37 coupe and test drove it too! Ended up getting my G somewhere else though 😶

+Keshav Kumar I sold it and got an ISF instead. That review is posted on our channel. The IS350 was great and is a solid, sensible, daily driver for most people. I'm not sensible and I loved it so much but I just wanted more. The F delivers that

Mine has a performance package, so it's packing another 40hp. I'm not looking for anything more than I have as far as speed. Few cars are able to hang with my car off the line. If someone's faster? Good for them. They have a very fast car! The whole "not fast enough" argument is silly when you think about the speed of cars at a similar price. I was looking for a practical car that performs well in the snow/AWD that's fun to drive and is good looking. Mission accomplished.

Was never blown away by speed of these things. Test drove wrx and then sti minutes apart. Wrx felt fun i 1st and 2nd and then power died off too much after the initial seat kick feeling. Sti built power well and consistently, i really didnt feel much lag but there was no push you in your seat feeling

Yeah, even a simple tune makes them feel much more lively. I now have a bunch of stuff done to my STI and it's definitely quicker than factory, but not stupidly quick or anything.

It feels slow because it is 300kg heavier that the first gc8 sti. The horsepower is the same.

Yuri, I should have let you drive my STI to dodgeball one time. I drove a stock one last year and it felt slow... Stage 2 is a huge upgrade on these cars.

Looloo is known in the local car community for buying cheap wrecked cars (evos and stis) and reselling them after putting as little as they can into fixing them. They sold an evo with missing parts and a bent frame stating over and over there was no structural damage. This unsafe to drive car was sold safetyd which was forged. missing parts a bent frame blown sst is not something that would pass a safety. Local evo and sti owners agree. Avoid them at all costs or you will be stuck fronting the bill for tons of issues !

It understeers because you are plowing it. Change the driving style and it will kick the back out every time.

I agree, mine is eager to wiggle the back if you adjust the diff for rear slip and poke the traction control button once. You need to be high rpm engine braking or actually braking to get good front end turn in grip. It's very possible to go in fast or overpowered with weight shifted to the back... plow time! The first "major understeer event" in this video looked faked, no tire smoke and look at the angle of the wheels. Anyways, nearly any car can be made to over/under steer by adjusting how it's driven. The one guy even says it several times, you have to drive it like an AWD, not a FWD or RWD... because it is an AWD.

I really don't get how people let their tips get so bad. I mean car is definitely not running right if the tips are full of nothing but carbon build up. I haven't properly cleaned the tips on my 2016 for about a year and they still look pristine, minus a few rust marks :(. Hate the damn rust marks... but that's besides the point

Everyone says that, but sales figures have actually shown that this generation ('15 - '19) of WRX/STI has outsold the hatch and double variants generations ('08-'10 & '11-'14 respectively) by a factor of over 3 to 1 (3 current for 1 old) .... So it wouldn't be surprising if Subaru didn't bring back the Impreza STI Hatch, and instead brought over the Levorg STI instead. I've actually been mailed a questionnaire as to which one I'd rather have... so I know it's definitely on their mind.
