I just bought my Prius today...it arrives on Tuesday (thank you, Carvana!) and I can't wait to have my car doing this (which it did say was included with the car). WELL DONE, Toyota!!!

Well done, Toyota. This video was very thorough. One question, how do you tell the Prius which direction you are trying to exit from a parallel parked spot?

While in park press the intelligent park button the mid will show options for which direction you are trying to exit. Use your blinker to tell the system which direction you would like to leave

good for parallel parking since it can be challenging to get a prius-sized car into tight spots, but other than that, just park yourself.

i honestly like my 2011 (2009-2015 versions) better when it comes to this parking system. Cause i can actually see and change the spot my car has layed up. so if it is to close to the curve i can move the box further out via the touchscreen or more forwards or backwords or whatever. I feel like i got more control in mine then in this new one. And to the special people in this comment section... it is actually usefull for some people... and its called technology... if u dont like it dont use it... dont even bother watching the video..

Lucky Vang Toyota had this in their 2005 Camry first, then it came in the 2010 To 2011 prius. U have lived under a rock if u think this is the first Toyota with it.

Yah. Before I drove my new one off the lot, I had the dealership hook up my new car to their programming equipment, and set the "back up beep" to just a single short beep, and not the repetitive backup beep. I would have lost my mind! The driver cannot override that setting, they can only do it at the dealership, and most dealerships need to be told they can do it, because no one asks for this, so they didn't realize it was an option they can provide.

ARTS AND GAMES ACADEMY “car guys” and “petrol heads”, u know what I call people like u? A “wannabe” car guy, u r the type of person that hates a car just because someone else hates it, u don’t even know Shit about it. No Prius haters do. a real car guy actually appreciates features in all cars. The BMW i8 would have never been made if the Prius didn’t exist for example, neither would the P1. The Prius is a great car to drive with a lot of innovative features u won’t find in any other cars in the same price range and size. And what makes u think that cars r only made to go fast? Cars r made to transport people around the safest way possible, this isn’t a race car and will never be a race car. That’s the problem with u “wannabe car guys”, u compare every damn thing to race cars that costs 3 times as much. Or old shitboxes that u think go fast but breaks down all the time. I bet u r the kind of guy that thinks the the R34 came stock with 700hp to right?
