Adding plug-in hybrid system to Volvo’s legendary safety reputation results in a Swedish S.U.V. with serious swagger.

Ironically, I am watching this seven years later because some used 2016 XC90 T8s have come available in my area. I plan to test drive one soon!

Yeah, $18,000 to upgrade from the T6 to a T8 is about right. A base V6 Mustang starts at $24,000, and a V8 Mustang GT starts at $32,000, up to a fully loaded $46,000, so the price difference ranges from $8,000 to $22,000. I doubt Ford would make a hybrid Mustang, but you never know. Great review.
@DrivenCarReviews8 жыл бұрын
+cadsux Consider the CAFE rules, a hybrid Mustang may be a necessity down the road. Hope they make it sound like a Mustang though.

Great review as always. Beautiful vehicle but at 80k I don't think my wife will let me sell our house to get one. Oh well, guess I'll be sticking with my 03 Carolla. :-(

Tom, thanks for all the great review's. The only ones I like better is Autoweek and that is just because they do a 0-60, emergency move and a 60-0. Plus the fubs at the end are really cool. JP

I'm absolutely in love with this car. Looks so elegant. I don't understand hybrid cars though...they seem confused and way to expensive!

Buy a slightly used one, or one that has been involved in a light car crash. You'll save a lot of money and the car will feel brand new when repaired.

Ever heard of a little something called the environment. It's all over the news!
@headcas6208 жыл бұрын
Ahmed Ramadan And? If you care about the environment you shouldn't be buying a new car. You should get something that has long since paid back the emissions from building it and acquiring the raw materials to make it.
@DrivenCarReviews8 жыл бұрын
+Shell Casing Yep, nothing like the sound of a six or eight cylinder. But it's not so much catering to environmentalists as it is the government. Automakers are forced to get much better fuel economy averages and so that's why you'll see more of these powertrains. Which in the end is good for people who like to breath.

Fucking Americans who are obsessed with V6/V8 engines. They are bad for the environment. We don't have them in Europe anymore, and we are not missing them at all.
