I want to thank you for your video it greatly helped me repair my escape after I broke a strut.

One trick I found that works great for getting the knuckle separated from the strut is to put a small bottle jack between the knuckle and the bottom of the strut ear. It’s alot easier then whacking it.

Just finished mine...an absolute pain!!! But saved me 400-500 bucks.

As you said, its a difficult job. You didnt show putting the top mount bolts back in from the engine bay ?? I had alot of trouble lining the holes up !! Getting enough slack to rotate the top mount into correct postion. I had to put spring compressors on to help me !!

Next time use a chisel where the pinch bolt is to separate the clamp and the strut will slide out easy

🤨Do not put the jack under the rotor u will damage the wheel bearing😬

☝️Because this car has a lot of space, you do not need to open everything at all. First: open the wheel, second: open the steering wheel. Third: Open the stabilizer from above. Fourth: Loosen the screw connecting the spring to the navel. Fifth: Pull the wheel down with a lever. If necessary, heat it a little with a hair dryer and apply it on WD40. Now: just open the hood from above, open the plastic cover between the front window and the hood halfway, you do not need to open the windshield wiper, if you have Ford Kuga 2008-2013. 😉It opens easily.

You took shock off and video ended then you started with installing shock??? What happened with the coil and other part around shock, how does that come off and go back on?? Thumbs down.
