I’ve been a huge Accord fan for many years. I bought a brand new Accord in 2006 and got 360,000 hard miles out of that car. In 2019 I bought a 1.5 EXL, but upgraded in 2020 to the 2.0 because I had heard and read so many good things about that engine and I much preferred a proper automatic transmission instead of a CVT. I know CVT’s get a lot of hate, but I genuinely feel that Honda makes one of the best there is. My friend drives a 2014 Accord with over 240k miles on the clock and has never had an issue with his CVT.

I love the 2.0T and 10-speed combo. The other night I stepped on it and was absolutely shocked at how quickly this car gets up to speed. We're very much Accord fans in my family as well. My father has been buying Accords since 1991 and I believe he's had 5 of them. All great, zippy cars.

I definitely think the 9.5 accord is much much better. Very elegant and refined. I have a 2016 Touring V6 and the exterior I feel makes it the best looking Accord to date. The tail lights on the 10th gen are just awful. I don’t really like the fast back look either. Sport wheels do look pretty clean on both gens. I got a sport grill on the front and painted it all white. Looks very aggressive and sporty in the front. The car definitely gets a lot of looks and I get compliments all the time. As for when viewing the car from the rear I get ppl mistake it for a Lexus, Mercedes and BMW sometimes. I love the way my j35 sounds when I jump on it. My cabin is very quiet. The interior I feel like looks more upscale as well on my 9.5. The 10th gen interior does look nice but more simple. Definitely not anything premium. I have all the bells and whistles, including remote start and the HFP front and rear bumper spoilers. The engine is better in the 2.0 but not by much. I paid 20k for my accord and I definitely wouldn’t be paying 35+ for a new one, but to each their own 🤷🏾‍♂️💯

This whole novel basically reads "I'm insecure about my 2016 Accord, so I refuse to believe the new one is better". The only person mistaking your Honda Accord for a Mercedes is your grandma who doesn't know anything about cars built past 1962.

We just bought a 2017 Ex-l trim 4 cyl used. Hated to buy in this market cause we know we are paying above what we should but we couldn’t wait any longer. We love the look way more than the new ones and can’t wait to pick it up in two weeks!

I have to agree it is genuinely better than the new turbo 1.5 or 2L engines after 2018, they just can't match the torque delivery of the v6 or the design

I had the 2016 touring and it was awesome. Then I got the 2020 accord sport 1.5t and that was a nice car too. Now I might get the 2022 accord sport 2.0t or might wait for the 2023 redesign.

You should compare the V6 with the Turbo 2. This is not a direct comparison.

My 2018 Accord 1.5T just had a fuel injector fail at 58k error code P0172 (posted on my channel). It's a good looking car but once the warranty expires you're on your own and you have no idea how expensive modern Honda engines are to fix. Oil changed at 80%, Shell regular used 80% of the time, always did warm up the car in the winter. Dealer so out of touch they recommended brake fluid replacement at 30k. I've never seen this part fail in ANY of my past cars. When asked why fuel injectors failed so early they said they see them all the time and $1600-$2500 (must replace all 4) would fix my out of warranty problem and the new injectors warranty is only for 12k/12mos! Made a case with Honda and the person assigned has never called me back once. Called for 3 weeks until I realized the could care less. Fool me once shame on me, fool me twice...

That is terrible. I would definitely hire an attorney bc that’s the only way they’ll start listening to you. They hope you just go away sadly. But when you start talking legalese then they pay attention. Those type of attorneys don’t get any $$$ either unless you win so you pay nothing up front or out of pocket 👍🏾

@@rubenfabela9285 It's a sad time for consumers when they have to hire lawyers to keep car companies honest. I was just telling a friend I don't recall my dad ever being offered extended coverage as much as they do now. Seems like they know they are making components cheaper and to reduce the price of the car they give you shi***er coverage but ask you to buy a premium warranty to guatantee it now lasts to 100k. Thanks for the comment you should see how angry Honda lovers with no issues get on my comments. I tell them it's just a matter of time all fuel injectors are made to the same specs, Honda may not even make them, but again they need to improve quality control before they get knocked out of the top 3 Japanese brands if they are even still there.

Most of the shortcoming of this model is remedied in the V6 plus some. All of them are fixed in the V6 Touring model and even more in the V6 Touring and Sensing model. Same console so it would need to be replaced if you're looking for that Android look.

The 2016 EX 2.4 engine with the 6 speed Manual is the way to go. I have a 1994 Accord EX with 5 speed manual transmission, and I love it and only weighs 2900 lbs. The 10th Gen weighs around 3500 lbs. I also have a Gen 7 Accord sedan EXL with 5 speed automatic.transmissiom. It weighs 3200 lbs.,. It has 4-wheel independent suspension, something the Gen 10 doesn't have.

I believe in the 9.5, they only offered remote start in the touring. This one was an EX-L

I am very late to this comment section and I don't know if you had the chance to try out a 2.4L with the 6 speed manual, but I promise you it's a fantastic experience that I will not be trading any time soon
