2017+ Yamaha R6 Fender Eliminator, Tail lights, and JL Design Tri-Color Lights.

In this video I am going to be going over how to transform your 2017 and up Yamaha R6 from the stock fender to this setup. My setup is a combination of a few different kits and accessories. I don’t like to cut into factory wiring so I took a few extra precautions so that I almost didn’t have to do it at all. Additionally, one of the main purposes for this setup is to become more visible at night. I have had numerous people tell me that they could not tell how far away I was at night and they almost hit me.
This setup consists of:
TST Elite-1 Fender Eliminator with Adjustable Bracket for Yamaha R6 2017. Current price is $100. You can use this kit to mount your license plate light directly to your stock fender eliminator location straight or angled with the adjustable brackets. Additionally, you can use the block off plate to cover the factory fender hole and mount your license plate under the tail section at an angle that it visible from the rear.

I don't think from a distance people can tell whether you are signaling left or right given that the lights are so close to the centre of the bike

It’s very obvious which direction I am turning from the rear especially at night. The whole left side of the back lights up when I turn the left signal on. The white turns are extremely bright. The integrated tail light would be useless if that was all I had. It may not appear as directional as stock because they were so wide but because of the increased amount of lights it’s easier to see. Also if you get the smoke turns it’s way harder to see. Practically impossible during the day. When my parents ride behind me they say that it’s way easier to see me and to judge what I am doing. I guess if you are that far back then you are not a threat to me turning but even 10 cars plus back they know exactly what I am doing but I can see your point. I’ve never had issues with anyone complaining. Thanks for watching. I hope this helps

Did you have to solder the turn signals into the turn signal plugs?

I didn’t have to solder them but I did. The wires are really small so it is better to make it a solid fit. I bought the aftermarket plugs so that I wouldn’t have to cut the factory wires. They just plug right in.
