Bro absolutely perfect!! This saved me so much time and energy. Hands down best video! If I had any suggestions, I would show the boltd and screws that were taken out after each segment.

Great video!!! I knocked this radiator replacement project out in a day on my Pacifica because of the great work you did on this. Loved the simple way you showed things, not too much info, but just he right amount of info. You were spot on with the process and there wasnt a single surprise fastener or hurdle you didnt go over. Highly Recommend this for anyone with a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica that needs a radiator replacement the way i did.

I want to commend you on a very very excellent video. I have watched many that should have followed your formula. You saved me hours! Thank you thank you thank you. The only thing could be better is showing how you take the bumper of of the speed bracket. It took me a few to figger out u have to push down in the bracket to get it started. It would have been helpful to show that. Again ty sir!!

A shop quoted my coworker $900, and the radiator is only $150. Now I see why they were quoting so much. It’s all the labor just to get it swapped out.

@@kennyadriankc Chryslers are kind of a bitch to work on in general. I just did the rear brakes on my coworker’s Pacifica, and it’s great that I learned how to do it because my 200 has the same stupid electronic parking brake. I watched KZfaq videos before I even took a tire off because I had a feeling it was going to be different than any other vehicle I’ve done brakes on before.

I have a leak right where the upper rad hose connects to the radiator and its gotta be a crack or something in that upper hose connection, I replaced the hose and it still leaks, but thanks to you guys I see I will have a ton of stuff to remove to have room to patch that crack since you get like no room to reach it from above normally

Glad I could help out guiding you , but I can tell you a patch on this radiator it's not a fix , the problem the plastic when it gets hot it will open the crack and it will leak again and maybe next time you are in a position that can't even patch it and it will be more $$$ just a heads up, best of luck.

Great video thanks for sharing. I am replacing the oil filter housing and wanted to drop a little bit of coolant out so that the level is below the top of the engine and hopefully I will not have a hard time getting any air out. Is there a drain plug at the bottom of that radiator on the drivers side. i have looked mine over pretty good and can only find what LOOKS like a drain plug possibly on the drivers side bottom but I don't want to crank on it till I know for sure that is not like a bracket for a support in another application. It flush with NO flange to grip, it is recessed inside with splines that fit a 3/8" drive socket extension. Sure looks like a drain plug. Radiator hoses are a real pain to get to so looking for an easy way to do a controlled partial drain on it....please let me know if anyone knows where the drain is on these and has a picture. I have a picture of what I am looking at but I cannot figure out how to post it here! Tks D

Hello I glad I could help out, I'm sure I should have a video on the oil cooler / housing replacement as well, if it looks like a socket it s most likely the drain, but what you could also do it take the thermostat out and that will drain.

Thanks for sharing. I'm 45% through this. Rad started leaking pass side. You helped clarify perfectly the areas I was skeptical to touch and was hesitant to fool with. I have a 2017 with 130k. Owned since new in '16. I guess I 'should' feel lucky this did not happen to my Pacifica sooner. Just recently changed the oil filter housing due to failure. Staring at the front of the engine working on the rad it's clear I'm leaking oil out of the front valve cover on to the alternator and exhaust!

Glad I could help, but yes the most normal problems the have its oil cooler housing leaking water or oil mixing with the water inside engine, get the oil cooler update out of aluminum, radiator, valve cover best of luck.

What process did you follow to bleed air from the cooling system after refilling it? I’m asking because I changed my water pump and thermostat, but I didn’t see a bleeder screw anywhere, so I squeezed the upper radIator hose in hopes of pushing any air out. Now, I’m getting a P0118 engine code for the ECT sensor which is also new as it comes with the water pump. Besides that sensor or thermostat possibility being faulty, which I doubt because it’s new, another possibility is an air pocket. I used all new Mopar parts too. Thanks.

You will need to turn the car with the heating system on front and back with the cap of the radiator of keep checking until there really hot air coming out of the vent inside the car.

@@kennyadriankc Thanks. I did that and I ran it with the coolant reservoir cap off while squeezing the upper radiator hose when the engine was at operating temp. I’m pretty sure if there was any air it’s gone now.

Started do this today. I removed the front bumper but believe it or not I’m having the hardest time removing the driver side front bumper main connector. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Would you think you need to remove the front fascia(bumper) to remove the transmission cooler lines to do a tranny flush?

I wouldn't do it that way. Reason been the torque converter holds the most of the oil inside , so anyways you will still have it running with old oil, so you will have to do it a few times anyways to really get as much of the old oil out, unless you have it running with the lines off and gravity feeding one line and the other dumping into a tank. But that will take a lot of oil.

@@kennyadriankc Yes I would run the old out and fresh in with the motor running. Lots of vids here show how, using the cooler lines. Takes a few gallons to get it all.

Correct if you go that method you will need to get to the oil cooler line one to drain and the other to do the suction

Just advance the video to where the I start taking the fan out and try doing it with out the rest of the process it should come out

Get to the point on the video where I remove the fan and try going from there what you need to do to make it lose and you should be able to take it out

Well it all depends how handy you are as a mechanic, but if I remember correctly we spend about 4-5 hr, im sure now with this video and knowing how its done we can cut sometime off. But plan for around 4-7hr job.

It was definitely a process and 2 people working are it so , if you do it your self one person depending on how practice you have but ill say take the day off lol it will be from 4-8hr give or take if you get any set backs lol

Same as chevy suburban/silverado ac condenser they get a small pin hole on a corner an its game over and normally diver side top corner. 😕

I did the job a lot faster because we where 2 on the same job normally any shop will only be 1 person doing it. But ill say with today's market on parts and cost of things ill say easy $1800 including parts been around $600 or so.

2018 Pacifica have problems where the coolant leaks into the engine causing a misfire in the cylinder, requiring a complete engine replacement. Beware!

Yes this engine they have a few problems, with heads cracking, valve , compression lost in cilynder, oil cooler , oil pump just a few lol
