Missed one point....J and G model gets Drum brakes at rear...only V and Vx gets Disc

You forgot to mention v variant gets discs on all four wheels when comapared to the G variant which gets 2 disc breaks on the front and 2 drum breaks on the rear... Plz go through the specs sheet thoroughly...

Nicely explained!! I am looking for J CVT will it be a good enough for overtakes and steep hill climb given it comes without paddle shifters?

+Amit Kumar It is not that fun to drive and responsive as compared to AT or DCT, you might plan for overtaking at high speed. On hilly terrains it will do the job but you might feel some power lag if driving with all seats occupied.

Nice video. Agree G variant is the right choice. However I want to know does the J variant offer power adjustable ORVMs? You did mention it but I doubt J variant has that.

+Ghanshyam Niroula J variant has Manual AC, Driver seat-height adjust (8-way power adjustable driver seat in VX trim), 60:40 split rear seats whereas Front and rear foglamps is available from next trim i.e. G variant.

Toyota Yaris over priced 7 Airbags good but you have to wait to use them until high impact accident Parking sensors, you camera touchscreen must be in base variant so if someone investing 11 lac CVT 9.7 manual so he can feel he is in latest trends car,back side seat of two comfortable not 3 for base variant after investing big amount still 1 will feel he is using old fashioned car as he chose c segment car Airbags good for big safety but parking sensors touchscreen display, rear view camera,fog lamps makes it futuristic and day to day easy life, and also saves somewhere from little accident

Debmalya Basu there is massive difference in the on road price between verna sx(o) and yaris vx , yaris vx costs around 1.5lacs more.. So i think verna sx(o) is the VFM option to go for..

+Neeraj Piplani The claimed mileage of Toyota Yaris is 17.1 kmpl and 17.8 kmpl for manual and automatic variants respectively. In our road test, Toyota Yaris AT delivered 16.40kmpl (City) and 16.31kmpl (Highway).

John Christopher Verna , in terms of overall features. In Yairs G you get 7 airbags and engine start/stop button for 80K extra money.

John Christopher Not sure but I guess reverse parking camera and navigation is available only on V and VX variant of Yaris. Verna SX is better package overall and value for money.

The Verna SX certainly packs more features for less. It's Rs 80,000 cheaper and gets 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels (as against 15-inch steel wheels with wheel cap in the Yaris G variant), it gets an additional front tweeter apart from 4 speakers, navigation, cruise control, auto headlamps, LED DRLs and cornering lamps, etc. But the Yaris G ranks better on safety with 7 airbags, start-stop button as well as 60:40 rear split seats. You may also find the Yaris' cabin to be quieter thanks to the acoustic & vibration control glass which helps cuts down cabin noise. For the money, the Verna SX looks tempting purely because of the sheer number of features on offer but if safety is your top priority, then the Yaris G would be better.

+Joseph Johny The G variant gets all the features that you’d need in a midsize sedan around the Rs 10 lakh mark. The G variant gets a 7.0-inch touchscreen unit, lower NVH levels due to the acoustic and vibration control windshield glass, and climate control which improves the in-cabin experience for the driver as well as the chauffeur-driven. It misses out on alloy wheels and the price hike is a lot too but the features on offer are pretty generous here and it's the variant worth buying in our books. While it may be Toyota’s first crack at this sedan, do not underestimate the Yaris as it is backed by Toyota’s renowned reliability and low cost of maintenance. If there’s any car that can take on the big three - the City, Verna and Ciaz, it has to be the Yaris. Moreover, all the cars have their own forte & now it would depends on your requirements that which car will suite your needs.

+Sanjoy Roy Love to help in decision making. :) Here, it depends on your driving requirements. Manual transmissions offer much greater control over the vehicle's driving dynamics. There's really no substitute for the driving experience and level of control over the vehicle that a manual transmission can offer. Apart from it, if you are more like the average driver who simply wants to get from one place to another in the most efficient and comfortable way possible, go with the CVT. Also, don't forget to take a test drive before making a final call.

+Farook A The base variant covers almost all bases and Toyota’s emphasis on safety deserves a special mention since it’s the only car in its segment that gets a whopping 7 airbags right from the get go. Even the top variants of its rivals don’t get as many airbags. That said, it misses out on speed-sensing door locks, which could have been integrated given Toyota’s focus on safety. This variant is only advisable if you have a tight budget but have shortlisted the Yaris anyway.

yuva rajan lol what are you talking about when it outperforms many other cars with similar specs in terms of acceleration, top speed, and safety, even it's selling here with only 1.2L engine.
