I have booked this car last week and got it delivered. G opt variant. Beautiful car and Love it. I find it a much better and mature product than city or Verna. Also milage is good. I got 20.5 on highway run of 18 km and 14-15 in city.

Ritwik P It’s a worth buy. I was also confused between the two.. G opt manual or J opt CVT. If you don’t mind not having features like Rear defogger, Digital MID, Auto AC, And few other features which are offered in G opt, then it’s ok.. I wanted Interior to look nice..with Auto AC.. so went for G opt instead of J CVT. But otherwise if you prefer CVT over these features then go ahead with J CVT. You should get it under 10L on road. Also, I don’t think it would be discontinued.. atleast 3-4 years. Toyota isn’t known for that. They may launch it again in different avatar. Plus even if it is discontinued, it won’t mean Toyota will leave India.. you would get full services..for which Toyota is known. I have experienced amazing services with our previous Toyota Etios Liva.. which is sadly discontinued now.. 9 years 1.5L km, best AC, Solid built (saved dad in 2 accidents) still runs with full power.. it can go another 2-3 Lakh it feel to me.. Trust me there are number of known people who want to buy our Liva for 2.5 Lakh still..Toyota quality is supreme.. and are low maintenance cars

I felt base model Yaris(3 airbags) is a better buy than any top model premium hatchback. I personally love the car even though it didn't become a success. Once again thanks for the response.

Ritwik P Great bro.. Toyota is the Best Buy in that case. And the car is much safer and in long term you will find Toyota becomes a more value buy than even 8-9 lakh hatchback. You may get it below 11 easily. Expect around 10-10.25 with discounts being offered. Just need to get a music system, which you can get from any good automarket shop for around 10k. I got Bluetooth touch system in 10k..works great..and fitting is perfect..not a single mm space around..

If you plan to drive the vehicle yourself and want a sportier drive then the Verna would definitely be a great pick. The lower price only makes it better.

Not it’s because the Indian market is mad behind Honda City and Maruti Ciaz.

The V CVT variant of the Honda city does get some meaningful features over the J CVT variant of Yaris. These features include 2nd row AC vents, touch screen infotainment system, smart looking diamond cut alloys, LED DRLs, automatic climate control, chrome door handles and a few more. If these are features that you would like in your car then the Honda City would definitely make sense.

I guess people too inclined towards conventional alternatives.... Toyota is a bigger brand than Honda Hyundai and Maruti and in terms of practicality is what it is known for.. I guess it’s better option than many if studied properly and considered..

Indian First see bro my father owns a Verna and I know how it is, Toyota is the world leader but that doesn’t mean that all Toyotas are good. My father loves to drive and Verna is far better when we compare it to Yaris, the engine of Yaris is very bland and the engine of Verna is punchy. Also the Yaris looks really boring.
