I bought one new in 1984 for $4,000. At the time it was an outstanding performer. Somehow I managed to survive four years of insane riding without a scratch on me or the bike.

Sweet! I just picked one of these up for $850 pretty much same condition as yours. Good to see your in Mass too, I'm southeastern mass.

Great bike. FYI, Honda Australia raced these instead on the VF1000R because they were quicker ( primarily handling). Mal Campbell ( Honda Australia jockey) was great on the VF1000.

That bike is long, long gone. Last I heard, the new owner was riding it like he stole it.
