If you don't have the fancy oil filter drain tool you can use to plastic thing and a 20oz soda bottle to catch the oil. The tool will fit in the opening of the bottle.

The reason you had to use a cheater bar to get your oil filter off.Was because it doesn't look like you.Oil the o-rings you need to put oil on them before installing.
