Ultimately looks are subjective, but I personally agree with you, the GMC is the better-looking truck. On a related note, I think it's about time we stop calling these two trucks 'twins'. I'm pretty sure the only exterior body pieces that these two trucks still share are the rear bumper and the side mirrors. In previous generations if you needed to replace a door on your truck it didn't matter if it came from a Sierra or a Silverado as they were both the same, that is no longer the case. And depending on what engine you have, the current Sierra and Silverado arent even mechanical twins as the Silverado has more engine options than the Sierra does (for example the Sierra doesn't get the 4.3L v6). Sure, the two trucks share the same frame, but even that doesn't mean diddly squat as frame sharing between separate vehicles is a common practice among many auto brands (The Ford F-150 pickup and the Ford Expedition SUV share the same frame, for example.) As far as I'm concerned, the Sierra and Silverado are now officially different trucks.

@@dave3682 I agree with 99% of it except for the interior..they still are pretty darn identical on interiors. But before the NBS were released GM promised they were going to make them different trucks and for the most part they did. I love my GMC

@@ngirardo86 As far as the interior is concerned the GMC distinguishes itself with some nicer materials but as far as the overall design is concerned... yep, the only difference between the two trucks is they each have their own uniquely shaped steering wheel. Still, other vehicles share the same interior where applicable such as the Honda Pilot SUV and Honda Ridgeline pickup, and the Ford Expedition SUV and F-150 pickup. So just like the frames, I'm going to give the interiors a pass as well.

@@dave3682 see I think that silverado has some nicer touches that gmc doesnt. But to each their own I personally find them dar too alike to give them a pass

@@ngirardo86 The Sierra is generally going to have the nicer interior materials and options when compared trim by trim with the Silverado since the Sierra is the premium vehicle and starts at a higher price point. For example, you can get a leather-wrapped steering wheel standard on the Sierra starting at the second trim while you have to go all the way up to the 5th trim of the Silverado to get a leather-wrapped steering wheel as standard. Also, I've just noticed that the center console is different on the Sierra than it is on the Silverado, so chalk up another interior difference.

My SLT looks 1000x better than any trim level of silverado.

I think the Silverado looks best, especially the northstar blue metallic color..

And those ugly tail lights and front end?

Well the SLT is an equivalent of an LTZ. So of course it was more expensive than your LT.

Chevy looks much better. That gmc nose is ugly as hell

I didn’t like the silverado look when it first came out. A couple years later i bought the ltz Silverado. Love it.

The body is completely different on each truck

I don't think they will swap. The beds are different starting in 2019. I'm not sure the total difference but they are different.

My payment is $680 on a fully loaded Chevrolet silverado z71 ltz

Oh, and have about 3k extra after paying mortgage and our kids are the leader of their school and never go without. Moral of the story, work hard and you can afford better in life bruh.

Sierra is around $500 more than the Silverado and they’re basically the exact same truck. Why?

@@thankyou9085 if you compare the Sierra Denali to the Silverado high country you get a better tailgate inner fender protectors LED rear tail lights a better gauge better material inside the cab and that's about it

GMC Sierra is way too “blocky looking”. Sierra needs a chill pill almost. My Silverado gets 👀 constantly....

@@MessiahKnight I wanted a GMC for over 15 years. I finally was ready to bite the bullet and had a fully loaded SLE on order. Then I really got to looking at the RST Z71. I ended up buying it and canceling my order. I absolutely love the look of the RST Z71 in white and black. The trailboss also looks amazing but was not available with the Duramax diesel which I was set on. The Chevy is sleeker and just feels more like me. I love the wheels a million times more than anything the GMC's have going. I also noticed that the leather seats wear very quickly on either truck where the driver gets in and out. They look like a 20 year old couch after about 50k miles. I am so glad I did not get the GMC because it was the less than durable leather!!! I am getting a ton of head turns and compliments on my new truck, but I could care less. I enjoy driving it and love the way it looks.
