2019 Chevy Traverse Headlight Bulb Replacement

I wanted to upgrade my low beam, and high beam lights but I could not find a video on You Tube to help me out. I replaced them and decided to make a video for anyone else that was on the same boat as me that was having issues replacing them.
My friend and I unscrewed the 4 screws on the base of the headlights and were able to get access to the housing of the headlight. We then unscrewed the clip that was holding the factory bulb and replaced it wot the bulb that I purchased at Race Sports Lighting. I was able to find a small Allen wrench that helped me remove the screw that was very hard to get out. The process wasnt to long we are not mechanics and it took us about 30 mins per side. Maybe a little less. I hope this video was helpful to some of you guys.

The dealer just told my wife it would cost her over $1200 to replace her two light bulbs. (Yes I said over $1200) Bought the oem bulbs on amazon and did it myself in 1 hour for $123 per oem light bulb.

Aye bro I just want to say thank you my wife went to the dealership and they told her each light 340 and another 160 to install both of them. You just saved me from paying 800 at the dealership. I went to advance auto parts picked them up for 150 each and installed in no time. You the goat man.

Thanks man. Literally the first time I’ve done ANYTHING mechanical. Mechanics were telling me $600-700 and they had to take off the bumper. My wife found this video and threatened to do it herself. Not on my watch. You just saved me a lot of money but more importantly my dignity! 🍻

Hey Everyone if you want to get the bulb with the white housing out from inside the actual lens you will need to push it up at the 12 o'clock direction a little bit and then once you fill it has loosened then you can twist to the left.

This was very helpful. The dealer told me $400 labor to replace the bulbs this morning. They said they would have to remove the bumper. This video saved me a lot of money! Thanks!!

Have a traverse at work and took it to a shop to replace the bulb as a side errand. I thought it was a scam when they said it needed to go on the lift!!😂 No wonder the U.S. car industry is a shell of itself. Who the heck would buy this POS that required this much effort to replace a bulb!!

Always give the bulb a quick test before you reinstall everything. Just in case 😊

I went to the dealership and they said that they were going to charge me $300 because they had to remove my bumper thank you guys so much I did it myself

The dealer wanted $761.02 to replace the bulb but would discount it at $685.02 LOL. I purchased the bulb for less than $100 and replaced it my self in less than 20 mins thanks to your video. Much appreciate it.

You are a gent for taking the time for this video. I was quoted between $400 to $800. Appreciate you mentioning the allen wrench (I believe it's the size of 3/32) and the replacement bulb used. I ended up buying the same one and also got a flexible extension drill bit for good measure. Great video and 👍all the way

A relative of mine was quoted $770 to have both headlight bulbs replaced on their 2019 Traverse. The dealer booked the job for 2 hours and claimed the bumper 'had' to be removed to replace the bulbs. I was highly skeptical. After watching a video, I felt very confident I could do it with little effort.

Best video for changing out the 2019 Chevy Traverse model headlight bulbs. Every other video seems to be for 2009-17 models which are totally different. Thanks!

Hey brother, I just wanted to say thank you for this long sought-after video. You helped me a lot. Those screws lol, are a son of a gun to get out. It's really the angles that are horrible. I followed your steps and was able to save money, plus I completed the job. Thank you. God bless.

Just replaced it following your instructions. It cost me in total $125. Saved over $400 and completed in less than 45 minutes.

Love the video I have a 2018 traverse worked the same video helped out white clip to unscrew was my only issue had to watch couple more times but definitely saved me money thanks for posting
