If this doesn’t work, check your antifreeze. Did some research. My antifreeze was way below the minimum fill mark. Orange, 50/50 pre diluted antifreeze. Thx for helping tip!

This is a great video! It worked on our 2019 Edge. I found the comment on a thread somewhere to do the power/defrost reset, but that did not explain the step of having the display in climate mode, watching till the fan bars stop their cycle, then pushing power one more time. Now that I did as you said, the heat is working again. Wish I had found this earlier, would have made our ride home much more comfortable.

I have a Lincoln Mkz 2014. It was having the same symptoms. Hot on one side cold on the other. Used this video to reset my 2014! Thank you. Your video saved me a trip to the StealerShip 🎉 or my local auto AC mechanic. Probly saved me from having to replace the heater coil, ac compressor, actuator motors, and replace the touch panel. I watched 20 youtube videos before finding yours. It was perfect!

On my 2019, I turned on max defrost because it was super misty and fogged up after sitting overnight. When I hit Auto to put it back to normal, the temp remained at 85. I turned it down to 68 and the same hot, hot air kept coming out both sides. It did turn down to cold air on LOW only. I did the reset you showed in the video and all is back to normal. Thanks SO MUCH for posting this! You rock!

2018 confirmed working. On the climate dashboard you can press on the driver facing fans to be sure they work too.

Any idea how to do the reset if there is no defrost button? 2019 hybrid and I have max defrost and rear defrost….

Thank you for sharing this fix. It worked on my 2020 Ford Edge SEL. It has been in the mid 90’s here in FL and can’t be without a/c. Just curious if this has happened again to you since resetting the system?

I did this and the system reset, but I still have cold air. When the engine is revved, the heat comes out. However, the rear heat works at all idles like it should.
