The Ruck Shop's stretch kit install on the Grom! Nothing ever goes as planned. I beat on those things with a rubber mallet for a while to get them in it was so tight. Be aware that if you put the stretch on and don't lower it, it will cause your chain to rub along top of the swing arm/chain slider. All those details will be shown on the lowering video!

So this might not help you but hopefully someone watching this... you had to use the hammer to help the extenders in because of the factory burring of the swingarm in the channel... if you take a file and file away the burrs, you can just slide them in and less chance of scratching the anodizing. hope this helps someone. i seen a video or 2 of people hitting in the stretch with hammers, but if you take the extra prep time, that wont be necessary

Since the stretch bars are upside down and on the wrong sides, the axle is at the bottom instead of the top. Chain should work without the drop mount if the bars were swapped and axle was at the top.

Whatever longer chain came with the kit. Most places sell together unless you option out/in.

Do you have to lower the front of you lower and stretch the rear?

I don’t see why you do. It just would be squatted in the back. I did the front lower before I did the rear. I have videos on the whole build

I'm worried about the front bottoming out all the time. I'm lowering due to me being so short.

@@jayodekirk how much do you weight? It might bottom out if you hit big bumps. I just try and avoid everything. If I do bottom out it’s not the end of the world. Just a ruff bump. I do what I can to avoid stuff. Some people put a heavy weight fluid in the front shocks to help I just didn’t want to do all that.

@@jayodekirk yes you’ll bottom out of you are putting your weight over the bars when you hit a bump.
