My wife and I just went shopping for a new Jeep Cherokee Latitude Plus the other day. Currently she has the Jeep Compass after downgrading from a Grand Cherokee. She needs more room for transporting her elderly parents and their walkers. This one looks like it would fit the bill. Two design flaws I noticed, the location of the antenna which limits the use of the luggage rack and the location of the fuel cap on the passenger side of the Jeep! Most of the gas stations around here you have to enter from the right and it's awkward to drape the hose over the roof. And probably hit the antenna !!!!!!!!!

Seems like the 4 cylinder has a good amount of power. I have a '15 Compass, and I like it but I would look for something with a little more power in the next vehicle.

Get the options you need, the base level is best for company use. Live in cold or cool climates add the cold weather package. If you live in a area where bad roads are norm, look at the Trailhawk ( better suspension). Live in flat land area the four cylinder is ok, live in PA ( mountains) the 6 cylinder will work better the weight of vehicle could hold you back). Thinking about reducing fuel use. Get the Stop Start feature, remember to have the sensors checked before all warranties end. Before the 3 and 5 year warranties end have have all the differentials ,suspension and brakes checked. You may have to upgrade your tires after purchase since the manufacturer may place inferior tires on the vehicle to stay under a certain price point. I am not an expert just a former owner of a 2014 Trailhawk and a 2015 Limited. Now a owner of two Trailhawk Elite.

I owned the Grand Cherokee 6cyc 4x4. I thought I would save gas and bought the 4cyl turbo 4x4. Very disappointed with the gas mileage no difference than my grand. It also has a smaller gas tank (sucks)...... The cabin is extremely quiet and handles very well. Very comfortable seating.....

Regarding the newer model SUV jeeps, can you please tell me when was the cutoff date where the gas tank has been moved from the back, relocated elsewhere. I can better search for a decent jeep SUV.

Very good review. Humor is very important in these auto videos on KZfaq. The review is fairly thorough, although I would have liked some information on the quietness of the interior rand the overall ride comfort. My wife and I have a (hers) Mazda CX-5. My new 2019 Jeep Wrangler Sahara with auto emergency breaking and lane assist and blind spot warning and auto cruise control. I love it. We would be replacing her CX-5 with the Cherokee Limited. I hope we're making the right choice- especially in the reliability area. The Mazda is very good but Fiat Chrysler worries me especially in having 2 FCA vehicles. We drove the 19 Cherokee and loved it. Nicer then the Mazda.

I like my Cherokee I must say it different upgrade I had a subrau 2016. Only thing I feel werid on is gas cause Im used to saving gas for 3 weeks. This car still learning. But it okay cause usally I always drive around in my town

Unfortunately, this vehicle doesn't have much storage...they did away with the flip up front passenger seat--the cushion lifted and it had a storage box under it. But I Love it!

I have this jeep since june n it quickly started showing service throttle light. I took it in twice. They found nothing but a update, according to the jeep chryslers check up i had. Still pops up on dashboard goes sway n comes bsck. After the first check up, now it shiws check engine light as well :-< ...Any help or how i should go about this.

ChiCho R.G. I’m currently going through the same thing . Service throttle light comes and goes . I’ve gone to the dealer almost 3 times now with the same problem. They’ve changed the accelerator and the battery but nothing has changed . Could you please give me Some info about what ended up happening ? Thank you I would really appreciate it !

I just bought one,this model to be exact. It seems very loud to me. I’ve never owned a jeep before I’m new to the jeep family. Do jeep sounds like I can hear the engine inside the cabin? Is this normal or should I take it in?

I have the v6 and it’s never went into 9 th gear. Stays mostly in 7th and 8th gear

Lol yes but this stuff happens all the time. I’ll be filming in an empty parking lot somewhere and a person driving by will stop over and start asking questions about my camera, the car, etc!

Compass is made in India - 20% of Cherokee comes from Mexico..

Yuck Mexico. Make sure there’s no drugs inside the engine. I love my 2017 red Jeep latitude. Saves gas on the highway. From AZ to Los Altos CA. 50 dollars on gas one way and it’s a 6 cylinder. Very quite and smooth ride. I have been a Jeep owner since I was 22 years. Maybe I’m the only Asian on the block who owns a Jeep. I have been lucky my grand Cherokee 1997 still running. I gave it to my brother who works for the Toyota in San Antonio TX. Most Asians either drives Honda Lexus Toyota. I’m theee only Asian on the block who loves Jeep. ❤️❤️❤️❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

It could be considered mid-size in terms of the Jeep brand’s lineup, but in the US at least this is categorized as a crossover SUV. The Grand Cherokee and Durango are considered mid-size and FCA doesn’t technically sell a full-size SUV (like the Tahoe/Yukon and Expedition).
