Sidecar passengers are exceptional athletes. Not only they have to be quick and precise when it comes to weight transfer within the vehicle, but they also need perfect track memorization. When they duck inside the car to reduce the air resistance, they're completely blind of the track up ahead. This means they need to anticipate every single corner in order to not be caught off-guard. It's absolutely insane.

What's insane is the trust they have on the driver. Fuck me dude, are these the type of dudes that make the rainbow when doing a devils threesome? I don't like being driven unless I can't see the person doing the driving.

I love sidecar racing especially on the Man. I wish we could watch live coverage here in Canada. The Isle of Man is the best bike race in the world,there's no equal.

I can't help thinking, you know when you're in the passenger side of a car, and your mate is driving it a bit too fast, and you get those butterflies in your stomach and you're instinctively trying to brake against the floor when he's coming to a corner a bit too fast? Being in one of those sidecars must be that x100.

i like to ride,love a bit of speed now and then,roads permitting,but there's no way in hell you'd get me on one of those things,totally bonkers.the driver and passengers of these machines are another mindset,gonads the size of a spacehopper.

So let me get this straight. As a sidecar. You have zero input. No control. But you're expected to toss tour mass around to make the run as fast and smooth as possible. Jesus man this is like being married at high speed, what manner of madman would do such a thing?

Who are the N. 11 which appears at 4:15 and then at 5:04? It looks to be the machine of Leblonde and Farnier but I cannot find any reference anywhere and it seems they did not finish race 1 nor race 2. This year the covering of these races was not quite good enough, does anyone know are they whom I think they are and what happened to them?

They actually don’t, the trick to passengering is finding that golden moment where all the forces acting on you are balanced so then it’s really easy to move but if you miss time it, it’s a real struggle fighting against the corner

The tt bikes aren’t too bad as they don’t make so much power. The tt has its own difficulties for passengers but generally the lads find it physically ok apart from the beating the track gives you. The trick is to always be in the right place at the right time. You’re never fighting inertia when you’re moving. If you are you’re off. The big 1000cc bikes sometimes feel like you’re fighting them all the time. There aren’t too many 1000cc bikes left now even in F1.
