Nice. Got a blacked out 2021 with the 4x4 offroad package. I think it has a tiny 1" lift. Trying to decide between these, the ultra terrain, and bf Goodrich A/T KO2's.

Have not had the ultra terrain. The KO2 and the Duratrac are my top 2 picks though in terms of all around performance and looks in the all terrain department. Can't go wrong with either tbh. In my personal opinion, the Duratrac does slightly better in mud and snow, while the BFG is slightly quieter on road and a bit more stable while towing heavy. I have a video of this same truck after I did the level kit in the front and i went up a size to BFG's. The BFG was a load range E, so it rode more stiff compared to the load D Duratrac I had. Just another thing to think about.

These tires will give you better acceleration. 275 55 r20 are cool tires for trucks.

The 275/55 probably puts more power to the ground than the 275/60 but I find the 275/55 to have not enough sidewall for my liking on a truck.

hey man I have 2020 ram 1500 classic express I have the same bridgestone duelers 275/55/r20 but i want to get All terrains and go 275/60/r20 is that possible without any lifts or leveling kit and no rubbing as well?

As long as it’s the classic body style with 4x4, the 275/60 is what actually used to come stock on them, so you’d have no issues so long as you don’t use wheels that stick out far.

No alignment needed. The ride comfort is a bit of a toss up. I gained more sidewall with the Duratracs, but they’re also a more aggressive and stiffer tire than the stock Goodyears, so honestly about the same haha

Yeah it looked pretty good. Since then I’ve done a 1.5” level, so I went with a bigger tire size. They didn’t make the Duratrac in the size I wanted so ended up going with BFG this time.

I have a 2023 ram big horn 4x4. I just changed the tires from 275/55r20 to 275/60r20 and I feel a little vibration. You think that is from the wheels not being balanced.

Mine works fine. I use the white paint sharpie pens. Fresh coat after every winter to keep it bright. Like the look alot but im not about to put fake tire stickers on for it.

No tune, I just got the Z Automotive Tazer and was able to change tire size. It was only off like 1 mph with these tires anyways.

@@gforcedod Around 30, 35 mph. Around 2 mph off at 70. Probably lost 1-2 mpg due to bigger size, added weight, and more aggressive tread.

I mean, in theory, you’d still fit haha. The stock 275/55R20 is about 32” tall, and these 275/60R20 are 33” tall. Only 1/2” of that additional 1” tire height will actually be lifting the truck though since the other half is on top. IN THEORY, you’d have about 1/2” to spare haha

I put same tires on my 2016,I lost about 4 to 5 miles to the gallon. Same size as yours,same size as stock tires on mine. Also pressure varies so much on these tires it's crazy. I keep them at 40psi, they will go to 30 back up to 40. They will go up to like 47 on hot days then down again to the 30s at night,when parked.

That’s crazy. I always had pretty constant pressures with mine according to the pressure readings on the dash. I definitely didn’t lose 5 mpg. Probably 2 though. Did you get a heavier load range maybe? If it’s an E rated tire, they’re much heavier.

@@TonyTheTruckGuy yeah but still never had tires act that way. Love them don't get me wrong, N.E Ohio they scream through the snow. Great in the winter. I think I may trade them out for some lighter tires next month. And just keep them for winter . They do handle heavy loads well though. I just pull a 20 ft. Trailer with a car on it. Or loads of wood or coal. To drop off.

how are these tires? I'm looking into a set for the winter would you prefer these over the bfg k02s? and i have a 2020 stock ram would the 275 60 20 fit mine are the 275 55 20

I have the BFG’s now and so far only been in snow 1 time this year. I say the Duratracs are better. A 275/60R20 will fit as long as your truck is 4x4. Might have a super tiny rub on the inner splash guard like I did but you just push it out of the way. It’s super flimsy.

@@rupertturner7311 It’s all about preference and tire options. You might find a tire you like in 1 of those sizes, but not in the other. Or maybe you find the tire and size you like, but it’s a stiff load range E. The 275/60 and the 285/55 will be about the same height, the 285 is just a bit wider. Both should fit without issue.

I have 275 60 r20 on my ram and it handles like crap on the highway. Wondering if the 275 55 r20 would handle better

Remember they are trucks not Ferraris lol. I went to a 285/65R20 after these and even then had no complaints about handling. 275/55 is stock size on these trucks. You'd pick up a little handling but I can't say how much exactly.

@@TonyTheTruckGuy My 2019 Ram came with 275/60R20. City driving is fine but the steering seems loose and almost unsafe on the highways. I’ve driven other trucks on the highway and they handle much better. Wondering if it’s a Ram thing since the other trucks were a F150, Tundra, Silverado. Can I go to a 285/60R20 without changing anything on my truck? Thanks for the feedback.

@@dominic6283 Is yours old body style or new body style? All the new ones I’ve seen come with 275/55 unless it’s a limited with the 22’s. But regardless, Ram uses passenger rated or load range C tires. Going to a load range D or E with a stiffer sidewalk would help with handling, but the ride stiffness will also go up. A load D is probably the best sweet spot. I think a 285/60 would fit stock so long as you keep factory wheels and have 4x4, but that’s a taller tire than stock so I’m not sure how the handling would be affected.

Hi there.. i am in the same boat but at other side of planet earth.. i also got bridgestone 275/60r20 but they are not offraod tyres.. yeah bit heavy but looks better than stock 275/55r20 .. also thinking about leveling kit.. any suggestions?

Only rubbing is at full lock in reverse. I will be able to easily remedy that by trimming a very small amount of the inner splash guard.

@@laingadaing Literally the tinniest rub ever at full lock and I think o my in reverse. That cheap ass splash guard seems like it was warped from the factory so I just pushed it out of the way and problem solved lol

Will the 275/60/20 fit on 2021 Dodge Ram big horn. It has stock 275/65/18. I know I would need different rims though? No rubbing??

You should be fine so long as yours is a 4x4 and you don't go too aggressive with the new wheels. This truck was bones stock and it BARELY rubbed on the inner splash guard, but the guard is super flimsy and was warped from the factory. I just heated it up with a hair dryer and pushed it back a bit. Now running 285/65R20 with a 1.5" leveling kit and just had to trim my OEM mud flaps a tiny bit.

@@MotoFlows Haha yeah I hear ya. It's actually not too bad though if you have the proper tools. I have a leveling kit install video as well. But yeah, so long as your wheels don't stick out too far, you'll fit the 275/60R20 no problem. Like I said, MAYBE a little rub on that cheap splash guard, but that's an easy fix.

Only at full lock, the left steer tire would just barely contact the flimsy inner splash guard. But that’s an easy fix just push it out of the way or use a hair dryer to heat up the splash guard and form it away. Most people probably won’t even have an issue, but my inner splash guard stuck out more than usual for some reason.

Nice, I think it stinks the salesman at my dealership didn't recommend me get the larger fuel tank. Who in their right mind wouldn't want the larger fuel tank. I've tried to find out why they can't replace the smaller 26 gallon tank with the larger 33 gallon one. I'm pissed

Each gallon is about 7-8 lbs and we are in a time of squeezing every ounce of weight out of a vehicle for that .000001 mpg increase. Did they really say they can't just put a 33 gallon in it?

I think the tag in the door jamb says 36 or 37 psi but that’s for the stock 275/55R20. Since these are a tad bigger and hold more volume, I run 35 psi.

Love the truck. Just getting ready to replace my first set of tires on my 19 Ram. In your experience, will a 275 65 r20 fit without any modifications? If not I will at least go to the 60 after seeing this. Thanks!

If you have a 4x4 it would be close on the 275/65. These 275/60 rubbed on my inner splash shield that’s super flimsy and seemed a bit warped from the factory so I just used a heat gun to warm it up and pushed on it a bit. Could also trim it a tad bit zero issues after that and didn’t seem close to anything else so I’m thinking with a 275/65 it would be the same. You can get away with a little extra height, it’s when you add a bunch of width that it starts to get tight.

35's would have required a 2" lift or level at minimum to clear, and probably would have also required wheel spacers or more aggressive wheels with almost certain trimming involved, especially if they were a 35x12.5 since they are so wide. Even these tires rub at full-lock in revers surprisingly. My speedo would have also been off by quite a bit more at the same time the bigger and heavier tire would completely destroy my already low MPG haha. Nothing against 35's, but I would probably need a 4" lift to clear them without any trimming. I would say at least 3".

I just feel like the shop is over pricing this particular tire. They also told me the nitto grappler was better?? Oh yea I also like the white lettering and am prepared to buy the white market they sale for outline letters on tires lol

Haha. I like white lettering too. Unfortunately, they only offer it in certain sizes of the Duratrac. They are definitely not cheap, but they are a great tire and becoming even more popular because of that. The BFG TA KO 2 has raised white lettering and is also a good tire. I wouldn't say the Nitto grappler is a better tire. The mud grappler is better in mud but that's about it. Kevin Van Voris and Anthony at Doowork Productions are both running a 2.5" levelling kit with a 285/60R20 on their Rams I believe. That comes out to be a 33.5" tall by 11.2" wide if you're looking for more width, but they are also running wheel spacers to prevent rubbing on the inside.

Hey Tony. Funny you should ask, I decided to use up all of the tread on the stock tires. Probably going to put on the TKo's next week. I've had Duratracks before and they cupped before 40k. Could have been my alignment at the time, who knows. How are you finding your tires a year later?

Mine are holding up well so far. This is actually the second set of Duratracs that I've owned and I'm pleased. My buddy had a set of them in 31x10.5 on his '02 Grand Cherokee for like 20k miles plus 20 off-road wheeling trips and aside from some tread chunking from the sharp rocks, his were still good too. I have not checked my tread depth yet but seems to be wearing well. I think you're right about the alignment, etc. It seems with these tires since the lugs are bigger, you really need to make sure your front end is tight and aligned. I'm sure you will be happy with the BFG as well though. I'm actually getting a set of those thrown on my mom's '05 Escape this weekend.

@@sambo198921 Just whenever I notice it needs to be done. I don’t go strictly by miles since I’m not always on the same terrain. Usually I let the rears get to be a little less tread than the fronts and then rotate. Once or twice a year depending how the tires are wearing and how many miles I put on.
