Thank you for sharing. We are very new to homeschool. In fact we were doubting ourselves and sent my son to a private catholic school for a week and are now pulling him out because we feel we were providing him a better education.

Thank you for this! We have been using TGATB for LA but I don't really think it's a great fit. I love seeing how you pieced together different materials to make your LA curriculum your own!

Oh, one word of caution about Math-U-See: I heard it tends to linger on one subject for far too long---for example, on addition and subtraction for a whole year---and does not provide enough diversity of topics to keep things interesting for some kids. Have you experienced this as well? Thank you.

Math u see is awesome and I did it alongside different curriculums. I doubt I could have done math in other curriculum wivout math u see as I used the math u see way wiv other curriculums.

Maybe this is stupid question but if child can already read and do the write why must one continue with the teaching phonics in 3rd grade? I would say they know how to do sound the letters? Thank you

Thank you for these videos. You are the first Catholic KZfaqr I've seen that explains homeschooling curriculums very simply and concisely. I just have on question: You said that your 3rd grader did not finish the 2nd grade stack of Abeka reading books. How do you avoid the feeling like she is behind if she doesn't finish the books for the year? And---as a follow up question---how do you incentivize them finishing their work for each day? Thank you, and keep up the great work.
