Basically it's just a XLT 4x2 pickup with just a few accessories on it. Just to entice possible customer who are easily attract on cosmetic and no real world upgrade performance. You said you wish the XLT has a 4x4 variant, well you have to spend more and get the wild track or the raptor. Since I never remember ford ever release a XLT on a 4x4.
