I paid 28,000 for my EX L AWD my first SUB and AWD and I have to admit I like it we had a blizzard here in NJ on 2020 and I didn't even shovel any snow I just drove thru .... and still save on gas ⛽ I had a 2015 Fit before .... a little weak tho very slow acceleration but I dont have a problem with it I have no rush I rather save

I love my 2020 Honda HR-V Sport AWD. The only difference with the Touring is the headlights/fog lights and leather seats....but the rest is all the same.

I like that it has the tried and true 1.8-litre, 16-valve, SOHC, i-VTEC® 4-cylinder engine and multi port injection . Some honda models using the 1.5 turbo , direct injection are having oil dilution issues . I switched from toyo winter tires to blizzaks on my 99 honda civic and the difference was night and day . My civic with blizzaks was a tank in the snow so having a set of them on this HRV would be a smart move for northern ontario . How did you find the touch screen when adjusting fan speed and temperature ? Interesting the canadian models have touch screen for that and the US models have knobs . I'd say this is the only negative .

It's real weak and noisy and that engine is from the 2006 civic.

@@moeanthony9308 I just need something to get me to work and back (10 mile commute both ways) + typical small city errands . I have a CRV which is perfect for that but my lease is ending in 5 months. The 2020's are getting out of my monthly lease affordability range + the oil dilution issue is scaring me off . The entry level awd hrv lx is the same price that the entry level crv awd's were 4 years ago - kinda sad . I have yet to test drive an hrv but I'll certainly be paying attention to road noise and if the engine isnt up to task for the weight of the vehicle .

@@noroar3258 makes sense but there is better refinement in competition at a lower price. Hrv is too outdated the way it is.

Can't go wrong with the R18. It has 15 years of refinement behind it, much improved over the one in the 2006 Civic, which BTW I own with 100K miles and it still runs like a top. Sometimes I'm amazed how smooth the engine still is after all these years. I'm thinking about a 2020 HRV 2WD LX just because of that awesome little 1.8 (awesome as in reliability not performance LoL) I live in Arizona so AWD would be a complete waste of money. I almost just bought a used Kona .... but after research I found the Hyundai 2.0 ltr motors tend to blow up at low miles due to poorly manufactured Piston Rings. As second owner there no warranty. Chose the used Honda HR-V instead. .... not as flashy and not all of the bells and whistles we the Hyundai Kona.... but has a Honda engine that doesn't blow at 30k miles like some Hyundai and Kias

Super valid point given what I've been reading recently. I'm not up on my Honda engine nomenclature but most of my friends are, I remember some commenting on how that engine series in the HR-V is a bit more closely related to Honda's bulletproof old school engines then the new stuff without a real track record yet. I think you'd be hard-pressed to have engine trouble in one of those.

@@moeanthony9308 28,500 ' ish for the base model lx awd(thats freight included) + 13% tax . You can get a base model awd rav4 for just approx 2 k more .

@@moeanthony9308 toyotas lease rate for a 2020 rav is insane though . 5.49% . knock it down to 2.99 or better yet , 1.99 and the pmt gets into my comfort zone .
