14:04 "A track car with a reversing camera" Had the exact same thought multiple times when I first drove the swifts, not even having reversing cameras in my own cars. What a time to be alive!

Endlich mal ne leichte Tour wo es nicht nur um die Rennstrecke geht . Alles rundum ist wirklich perfekt mit jedem Auto oder Motorrad zu fahren . Top Straßen , top Gegend , einfach mal den vollen Tag geniessen .

This summer break... 1st time ever I’m going to the Green Hell and this was by far the best description of how to get there. Proper English, saying where to go and show it too. I knew where the Ring was, like 70-80% but now I know where to be. Thanks for doing the effort and making the video for everyone to enjoy.

Great video. Really informative and covered of everything I would need to know if I get the chance to come over. Your taking it easy in a Swift nattering as you go round and it stills looks a realiy fast lap 😆👍🏽Slow is smooth, smooth is fast

I missed you and your videos! Good to see you back here. As for what kind of video’s I’d like to see: ...From very technical things explained into detail to fun talks with people you know or “giveaways” like a lap if you can come over or something like that. Just pondering or talking about experiences (at or around the ring) are nice aswell. If you really want to know more what people want maybe even consider a survey on the website or here. I’d be happy to help. Oh, one more idea: why won’t you consider training people or (at least partially) organize trackdays. For me the ring is very attracting, drove a couple of laps in a rented clio as well. I’d really love to intensively learn more about the craft and hone my skills. You’re knowledgeable and capable of transferring said knowledge. Shotgun if you ever do organize such events. Cheers from Utrecht.

Hi T hoorn! I actually do help organise two BTG-themed trackdays every year - next one is April 8th and 9th. As for videos, I have been considering that deeply. My roles and responsibilities at Jaguar and Nurburgring mean I can't just post videos of driving fast or drifting any more, as these things are actually against the policies of the circuit. Even a small bit of lift-off oversteer in the C1 Cup car got me a written rebuke. So I am implementing some questionnaires and will be considering a creative pivot this year!

Really good info, thanks for sharing!! Say, if someone would entertain the idea of visiting this iconic place, and that individual would want a ”slow” taxilap with someone experienced on the track with explanations, tips, tricks and instructions, how would that person go about making that happen?

Hi, Great video. Would you recommend doing a normal trackday before visiting the Nurburgring for the first time? Always dreamed of going to the Nurburgring but the only track experience I have is in go karts.

Is there a minimum speed limit for people that just want to drive there and not test their skills? For this instance would you just drive the right side only and keep your right signal on the whole way around?

I believe that vehicles not capable of 70kmh or more are not allowed. My experience is that if you do 100kmh on the straights and 50kmh in the tighter corners you will be fine. Most people drive on the right for the entirety of their first few laps 👍

Do you actually pay per lap? Also when you go straight on at the end of the track?

There is no going straight, you must get off the track and get back on through the gate if you wish to get back on. You pay per lap but you can also pay for the whole year. The Nordschleife operates as a one-way two lane motorway toll road without speed limits except where signed, with two entries each also serving as an exit, one a mandatory exit, the other an optional exit with reduced entry fees. All this applies only to Touristenfahrten, on trackdays the Nordschleife operates as a track with a regular pit lane.

I can't find the app for some reason? I got the Green hell driving website working fine, so I'll just use that probably. (Neither "Nurburgring" or "Green hell driving" give any results in the play store. And any links to the app just give me a blank page?)

And most importantly, no stopwatch visible. Not worth the risk by pushing yourself while looking at a stopwatch mounted on your dash.

Is this a normal occurrence in August at the Nordschleife? My pics. at 1:02 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fsiIpdRmxqfIqKM.html 3 long lines of cars waiting to exit. notice long lines of cars on L93. Track closed for accident. Apparently traffic jam at roundabout.
