This is what i have been waiting for for a looong time. I know all these names, but i would be lost if i had to put them all in the right place. Robert, the entertaining Navigation System. Thanks a lot for this.

I will watch this so many times over the coming months/years until I remember all the corners! Thank you Robert for finally getting one of these out there :)

Really enjoyed this lesson of corners/area's, however I noted that whilst you cruising in the wet giving an informed commentary you'd still be way quicker than me in the dry ! hahahaha

That was very detailed track information, I swear between misha and your track lessons I am learning more about Nürburgring track and not too scared from all the bad crashes videos ppl post on KZfaq. It is sad that ppl do that it scare ppl like me, but I’m happy you guys show the positive side. Good job 👏 the more I watch you guys that more I can’t wait to come for some lessons..

I had the privilege of going to the Nurburgring in 2008 and 2009. What an amazing track. You explain it so well. I need to come back and actually drive it. We got to do the Ring Taxi in the M5 with a driver named Philip. Such an amazing experience. Great video!

One could get the impression that the whole track consists of "fun little sections".... Very well done. I usually can't resist going sideways in those conditions, so I guess going for the Polo was a wise choice.

Very very good video. I came to the Nurburgring last August to spectate at the Oldtimer historic races. First time back at the track in over 20 years. Really enjoyed touring round the area but didn't get to drive the old track. I brought a superb map at the tourist shop which had a very detailed map of the whole circuit so I can follow your lap on the map. Really hope to return at some time in the future. Perhaps take a taxi ride with you.

Good lesson Robert, thanks ..will watch this more than a few times I'm sure ..was hoping to get over this year from Scotland but may have to wait until next year now ...mk4 golf gti 20v..only mods so far.induction kit, exhaust and polybushed..not the engine mounts though 😀....need to get that stage 2 for 200hp +...

Very nice video and explanation of different parts of the track. I hope I get to visit you on September / October timeframe and atleast have a taxi lap and then perhaps rent a car for couple laps too.

Very good video! I never liked the Hatzenbach in the beginning, but now after gathering some experience I really like the Rythm of it. @04:06 the beach is ok, you don't want to end up at 87, that would be bad. o.o And if somebody goes trough the gravel, please call it in, Motorcyclists might fall on the marbles you carry back on the track! I still do it wrong at Galgenkopf, slowly getting there. I think it is like the bigger brother of miss-hit-miss, but you have to drive it as a hit-miss-hit. Will try it again tomorrow. :)

The compression in foxhole is really something else. I still remember my first lap in a Mazda MX-5 back in 2015 thinking wooooow. Couple of years later I'm flying through there in my Fiësta ST and honestly that amount of gforce is not something I have experienced a lot before. Addicted to the NS since 2015 and if money allowed I'd be there every weekend lol

Hi Robert, this is really cool, thanks. I didn't know you until the SSC controversy but now I'm subscribed. I wonder if you could do a video for someone who's planning to come to the ring and rent a car from you. I'm one of those people. My plan is to practice on a simulator as much as I can but I would be interested in other tips to maximize my experience. Also, do I rent the M2 (which I drive and sometimes take to a track) or do I go for the 218i for slower but maybe less scary laps?

With the right tires and car, wet driving can be really fun.

Not first but then im just a mere mortal! Cheers Robert, always looking for info bout the track. The corner Hohefeishen? before the run to Flugplatz. Very first lap ever 2 years ago in my pride and joy e32 i lost the back end then by luck it sorted itself out when the weight went back on, was only doing 45mph and nearly ruined it all within 2 minutes of starting after dreaming about driving there for about 30 years lol. It felt to me like it was sandy there but someone told me later there was probably pollen on there. Think that could be correct? Was this time of year 2 years ago.

So looking forward to / dreading my first trip to the ring hopefully as soon as we can after the Covid lockdown here in the UK. Im not afraid of a bit of speed having driven lots of tracks in the UK but the ring fills me with trepidation, is it really that hard to drive with any sort of pace if its your first time? Im hoping to get a sighting lap in the night before we do the main run. (10 plus cars coming as a group on a challenge)

Hatzenbach is my current wallpaper (thanks Misha). Robert, is the golf equipped with an lsd? It looks pretty confident entering the corners (of course taking into consideration your experience and knowledge of the track)

Having done run am ring three times I can attest how steep it is between breidscheid & hohe acht. Im almost getting cramps just thinking about it.

11:22 new Megane? Even though i had like hundreds if not thousand of laps on Nords in sims like Assetto Corsa/rFactor 2 with their laser scanned track, i can still see some differences.
