The is the Sinnis Terrain 125 review you've been waiting for - how does a 125cc adventure bike cope with a 20 stone fat Scotsman on its back around the beautiful English country of Kent. The Sinnis Terrain is learner legal and CBT friendly adventure bike is great fun and offers everyone from the novice to the die-hard, the opportunity to explore the horizons in an economic (in more ways than one) manner.

Great review. It’s something we need more of. While seeing reviews of big bikes is great the majority of riders tend to have something in the 500 to 900 range

That is the beauty of a 125, you get to appreciate your surroundings a lot more. I still pop out of my little Keeway i love it. Don't have to worry so much about what is around the next bend and you get plenty of time to soak up the scenery. I think you will fall in love with that little bike

You say a lot of bike for the money but really the main thing you need on an adventure bike is lacking. Namely reliability. Every fixture that could rust will and fast! I know I own the SMR and the fittings are the same quality.

Thanks Boss for reviewing a smaller bike, I have come down to a smaller bike because I don`t need to be anywhere uber quick nowadays, I ride a Honda CBF125 which looks like a wee bit faster than the Sinnis Terrain, maybe this could be a new series of videos of the smaller bike market? keep up the great work.

Love that you've taken the time to review this Bruce. I've been following info about the new CT125, which I'd consider as a second bike for winter commuting and a way of getting the missus off the pillion seat. £2500 is great value, especially if you consider it against the BMW option list. Be careful with those round the bend moments :)

Amazing content as always Bruce, looking at doing my CBT in the new year and have pretty much decided on the Sinnis Hoodlum as my first bike, so this was really helpful. I live in Maidstone too so seeing the quality of routes just down the road, I think I'm going to have great fun.

I have a Chinese scooter which I have had for four years now as a commuter, I own a second big bike. The scooter (125) is a giggle. The one thing to change on these things is the tyres! In the dry, tyres are fine but in the wet, really skittish. I have fitted good tyres and it has transformed the bike, loving it. 😀👍🏍. Keep it Upright!

Thanks very much Bruce. Great review. I have ridden Pan Europeans and 1200GS for the last twenty years, but now I'm nearly 70 I wouldn't mind one of these in the garage for a reminder of when I rode my Tiger Cub around in the late sixties. Like you I am 6ft 3" and of sound proportions; this could be something I wouldn't look to silly on, that wouldn't put my ears round my knees.

Its a nice bike, I see the appeal if you are on a CBT and want the luxury of a brand new bike. My advice for those looking to get on a big adventure style 125 would be to get a used varadero. Amazing bikes for 125, they have the max 15bhp and can do 70mph all day long, they also have a big bike presence on the road and command a bit more respect. You can get them in good nick upwards of £1500 and like I did, sell it for what you paid for it once you've passed your test.

Nice. OTW is my local dealer. Bought a Sinnis RSX last year, put 5700 miles on it and not one issue. Cheap is good for a first bike. Why pay upwards of 3 grand when the chances are it’ll get dropped/layed down. I needed a new mirror and a side fairing (I layed it down 🥴)cost 37 quid!! the equivalent on a Suzuki would have been 150 quid!! Cheers Bruce, keep ‘em coming 👍

I think any young person starting out on bikes would love this Sinnis Terrain. It looks great, has everything you could need without spending extra for butty boxes and panniers. Bikers always remember their first bike with affection and are forgiving of the limitations that they probably never see at the time of ownership. You have to think about how a person would be thrilled to bits with this as their first adventure bike. Just think of all the people that started off on a 50cc Yamaha FS1E moped and how every 16 year old at the time wanted one.. I would have given my right bollock for an FS1E at that time, but i was made to save my money until I was 17 at which time I bought a new Honda SL125.. Happy days. I think Sinnis will do well with this ADV bike. Great video Bruce as usual.. Cheers..

What a cracking bike for folks new to biking to learn and practice their basic skills on. Wide bars, ability to do some basic shopping and have some low speed fun on too. Limits on power and acceleration early on for beginners is a good thing whilst training as you can max out on handling skills. Super frustrating of course for full licence holders but a perfect runaround or beginner bike thats worth it on pricing alone. I'd be keen to see how the workmanship stands up after several changes of owner and a few years of use, but at the price it really is a no brainer. Excellent vid Bruce with a very classy walkaround to start things off....

The biggest problem I had on my 125 was realising how slow car drivers were on A roads. With no power to overtake either I was constantly having to roll off the throttle. However if I was still in my early 20’s and brand new bike were that cheap then I definitely would be considering it.

Okay. That’s a decent package and for a remarkable price. Beginning to wonder if my 2009 XL Varadero 125 was such a good idea! Nimble and easy to man handle and pick back up when you drop it off road! Free panniers! Bloody hell! I don’t get much fun riding trunk roads but bimbling through villages and lanes is pure joy. I suspect my Honda has a little bit more hill climbing ability.

We looked at one of these as a possibility for my lad as his first bike just before the whole c thing blew up and I was very impressed with it, like you said it is a proper sized bike and it fitted my lad perfectly although he is not quite as big as you he is a full sized adult. To be honest I would have been happy for him to have it at £2.5k and 2 years warranty but he decided he wanted a sports bike instead in the finish so we ended up with a second hand KTM for the same money.

Bought a new Terrain to get me back into biking after 40 years. Great little bike. Also had problems with false neutrals on downshifts until I blipped the throttle on changing down, problem solved.

Ah great video, really refreshing, alot of people shit on smaller cc bikes but they can be a tonne of fun, there's alot of joy to be had pinning the throttle on a smaller bike, excellent commuters too! Great vid dude!

I’ve owned one for a bit now but only used it on private land since the lockdown meant I couldn’t get my license.. so it’s now in storage. But I have to say for a short and skinny guy, this bike feels big BUT when you’re on it the balance is great and actually doesn’t feel hard to handle even in tight corners but if you have to stop by lights or similar then tiptoes is the way you’re going to reach the floor from the slightly high seat, but for an average person it shouldn’t be an issue I love the headlights that look like a fox head when turned on and little features such as the super easy to change screen colour and km/h / mp/h unit display Also keep up the good work for your channel, I love your videos

Great review bruce and as another motorcyclist said its not what you ride as long as you ride seems a lot of bike for the money wrll done for doing the smaller class variety is the spice of life

Thanks for the review. I don’t know how many miles it had on, but usually once they’re run in a bit more they do tend to rev more freely and deliver better power/speed.

Cracking video Bruce, it's great to see a well known youtuber doing a proper review on a small bike. I keep trying to persuade my Mrs to do her test but to be honest, I'm tempted by one of these for my own short commute! Looking forward to hearing how the rest of the week on it goes... All the best 👍

3.36 good job the brakes work well. Anything that encourages the next generation onto two wheels is fantastic. Way too many bikers are grey haired old souls like me.

Great review, very realistic thank you. Something about keeping up corner speed in the right gear on the smaller bike reminds you how to ride without needing a racetrack.

Nifty little bike. As a reminder, if you are on a CBT you can't take pillions anyway, but if you're a lanky 17 year old who wants a bike to go camping on that looks ideal. I'd be interested to know how it compares to a Varadero 125 though. Good video TeaPot!

I finally got round to testing the calimoto app and went with your advice and didn’t choose the super twisty option, instead going to the one to the left of that. But jeeez it still took my down some proper farm tracks, then again probs not his fault as so many of them in Norfolk! It seems wiser in some county’s to use it to pick up a route someone has already tried and tested.

I took my test back in the UK when you could only have 125cc before getting the test, and you had to do that off-road round-the-cones pre-test before you could even *apply* for your proper test. I had an MZ ETZ125, which had 12hp, and other than the backwards kickstart, was a great little machine. Seen a few of these Sinnis bikes on TMF's channel, and they look pretty good. This Terrain in particular... I would have one in a minute, if only they sold them in the US. where I now live...
