Looking sharp, I always wonder why some manufacturers only apply chain protection to the top of the stay and not top and bottom, for the cost surely all round protection would be the better call, that aside, nice build.

I don't know! This one is quite nice though, it wraps around to the inside of the chainstay. On a similar note, a lot of manufacturers don't put it on the seatstay, which always gets whacked by the chain. On this bike, they do! Cheers - Dan at Fanatik

Because physics and geometry. Your chain really doesn't slap on the bottom with a good clutch because of how it routes through the derailleur.

Got a 21 with X2 rear shock but that coil looks like the way to go with the poppy frame design

@@FanatikBikeCo fyi. The 37mm seatpost collar is too big. Had to file the stock collar and bike yoke 37 collar to tighten correctly

What water bottle/tool holder is she using? I'd like something similar for my scout. Then modify the water bottle bit to hold a tube since I ride with a hydration pack

That's a good question, I'm not sure. Looks sweet but I’d never buy one. Everyone who owns a transition just talks about how shitty the paint is.. I’m sure it rides great but I can’t deal with paint chipping 2 months in

Miller Reid paint chip is true but the bikes ride great

That was just from one year (2018) in particular, sorted from what I have seen and heard.

Luke is right! They had a big batch from the factory that the paint definitely chipped very easily, but very quickly fixed that. At this point, probably because of the experience there, their paint is quite good. Cheers! - Dan at Fanatik
