This video is of our 2021 Alaskan moose hunt my youngest son harvested his first moose and my cousin Jake also shot a nice bull. We had extremely bad weather with lots of snow. We had to shorten our trip a couple days because of the amount of snow. This is a hunt none of us will forget we were barely able to get out with all of our gear because the snow was so deep. Luckily we had a couple sets of chains for the 6x6's

This was a great video! We went up north for the first time and took our 3 and 7 year old boys with us. We were successful and it felt so good to have our boys there with us. I can't even imagine what it's going to be like once they get their first. I'm sure you are very proud of your kids and what a better way to spend time together! Good job Owen!

Amazing amazing video I am all in on the adventure side of things but that exfil made me nervous. Your experienced crew had faith in each other and their top notch equipment and ended up with incredible story and even more incredible meat. It would be very interesting to hear from each man there about their thoughts and or doubts about the trip back to the trucks.

I’m glad you liked the video. We have talked about it, we were all definitely prepared to start leaving trailers and meat. We are about 40 miles from a road. We were thinking we would just come in with our snow machines with sleds to get the trailers and meat if needed. We did have our wall tent but didn’t have a stove we leave that at our camp. It was definitely a hunt we won’t forget

Congratulations!!! Awesome adventure for sure!!! I’m interested in the heater you guys were using in the tent. Where did you get it and how much fuel does it burn a night???
@diyalaskanlifestyle
@diyalaskanlifestyle 2 жыл бұрын
It is a Yukon stove burner military surplus I think it’s about 1.5-2 gal a night. I installed the burner on one of my wall tent wood stoves so I had a bigger firebox for when I wanted to burn wood. In my opinion this is the only way to go. I would get rid of the spark arrester that comes factory in the stove pipe it soots off after a few days

i have a 570 xmr and i cant find the front rack you have anywhere to cover the radiotor. where did you get it?
@diyalaskanlifestyle
@diyalaskanlifestyle 2 жыл бұрын
It is a universal front rack extension that we modified originally for the 2012 XMR’s. When we mounted them on the newer 6x6’s the radiator is a little bigger so we had to modify the shelf again that’s why it doesn’t sit flat. We also had waterproof bags made that fit on each side of the radiator. These bags are awesome even if you don’t have the rack extension
