I have the 21 with a full shorty akra.. Brentune stage 2, sprint air filter.. Its crazy the power of the bike when it's unlocked by Bren IMO. I don't miss my 17 blade at all lol Nice exhaust choice BTW!! Enjoy your S1000RR!!

I think brentune is my next step. But I think I'm going to go with the stage 1. Just enough to get rid of some of those restrictions. I keep hearing its a MUST! Yeah, I don't miss my '17 blade at all!! I mean, it was a nice bike, but nothing compared to these new s1000rr!!

It’s confirmed no tune is needed. Also if you do tune your bike it will leave a footprint if you do a warranty claim. BMW would have to prove that the tune directly caused whatever failure but it might make things harder with a tune. S1000RR K67 has 4 wide band O2 sensors that are constantly tuning the bike to the target AFR. Only reason for a tune would be to get more power and alleviate the flat spot mid range. If you’re content with the stock power then you don’t need a tune!

These guys at ducati bmw motor sports in Sanford tried telling me the factory akrapovic slip on that comes with the bike is only compatible with the stock exhaust… damn liars

I find mine in Dynamic cracks and pops only a little. When in Race it cracks and pops a lot more, but I dont like ABS disabled. Good sound for sure.

Hello sir. Just wanted to say that it’s look like you’re having a db killer in the exhaust. BMW’s akra from factory comes with that. At least over here where I live. It is one spot welded. Otherwise it don’t go trough first registration. It is possible to get it out but take a little bit more effort to get rid of that weld. Then you use the screw hole to hold it if you want to use it. Hope you get the bike home soon and it would be nice to here what was wrong with it. Take care

Hey man what windshield are you running if you don't mind sharing? I love the build, nice choice on the Akrapovic slip on mated to the Akrapovic headers! I don't think I've seen any one run this full exhaust on YT.🔥🔥🔥

The windshield is the tinted one they offer when you order it. I'm not 100% on the brand of it though. Thanks you, super happy with the exhaust!

heyooo i just got a 22 model and it has the akropovic sports silencer slip on and im wondering if you removed the dampener (or whatever its called) and if you did, how did you do it?

I believe there is no deference in sound between the titanium, s-steel & steel. The deference is in weight only. True ?

Hello Seth, so I just wanted to make sure I understood you correctly. The bike will automatically adjust itself for the new full exhaust system and the tune is NOT mandatory after the swap? Thank you!

Correct. No tune needed to swap it out. I know there's more tech talk to go with it, but to my understanding the bike will making adjustments and relearn itself. My bike still runs just like it should after the install!

Hey bro do you know what the dealer did with the servo? Did they just cut of the cables or did they add servo buddy planning on going the exact same route. Awesome set up- cheers!

I believe they just removed the servo cables. I was actually looking for a servo buddy before install, but it doesn't look like they make one for this bike.

Just did the same thing and sounds great but would prefer a hair less. Stock Akra already has a baffle but is there a way to add another or way to quiet it a little?

Actually to my understanding, the stock Akra doesn’t come with a baffle but can be added if ordered separately. I’ve thought about ordering one myself.

@@SethMichael it’s not removable but there is a sleeve of metal with no holes about 4 inches long towards the end of the can. Pretty sure that is a baffle.

To be honest with you, I'm not sure of the brand, but it's from BMW. It's their aftermarket shield you can order with it.

Seth, how's the vibration on the motorcycle overall and specially on the handle bars? is that noticeable? People say it gets worse between 6-9000 revs. WHat can you tell me about it? Is it true?

depending on where you live, you should be ok. Technically it's for race track only, but that goes with every after market part.

To be honest, I LOVE the engine on the rsv4. It has tons of torque which I think is a blast. The perfect bike would be the s1000rr with the rsv4 engine. lol. Overall though, I went with the s1000rr because it is super smooth with lots of power and comfortable for the type of riding my mostly do. Which is on the street and commuting. The RSV4 would be my pick if I did more track day style riding and/or racing. The RSV4 has all the power, all the time!

No errors at all. The bike has 4 o2 sensors and the bike basically re-learns after making the exhaust change.

Nope! No issues at all. I had my local shop to the install, but was a super simple swap thanks to the o2 sensors.

Absolutely! Although it is sold separately from what I'm told. Mine doesn't have one even though there is a screw which "looks" like it's holding one in place.

Nope. No servo buddy needed. Thankfully the S1k self learns, so after changing the exhaust, it runs just like it should.

I'm not certain on the model number, but I believe they are the only titanium headers that akropovic offers for the 2021 s1000rr.
