For the first time, youth and young adults ages 18-24 who work and don’t have kids could get money from the federal government to boost their income through the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). The EITC is worth up to $1,502; however, to receive this money eligible youth and young adults must file their taxes. To increase young peoples’ access to the EITC, The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP) and Youth Collaboratory are teaming up to bring you this interactive webinar.
Youth/young adults, service providers, and advocates are invited to learn who is eligible for the EITC and how eligible youth and young adults can claim this credit even after the tax filing deadline is over. Bring your questions and challenges to discuss with experts, and be prepared to engage with others in the space!
Watch this video to learn more about the EITC and implications for you, or young people you know.
