2022 Colorado Motorcycle Trip - to Aspen

Жыл бұрынThis is episode 8 of our 2022 Colorado Motorcycle Trip. Today we are leaving Grand Lake, Colorado and riding south on US Hwy 34, then west on US Hwy 40 to Kremmling, then south on Hwy 9,, then west on I-70 to Copper Mountain, then south on Hwy 91 to Leadville, then south on US Hwy 24 to Twin Lakes, then west on Hwy 82 across Independence Pass to our destination of Aspen, Colorado.
Rick rides a BMW R1200RS
I ride a Triumph Tiger 800 XRx Low.

My wife and I drove over Independence Pass, down to Aspen in our 1971 VW Bug on our honeymoon in Aug. 1976. Being Texans, that was my first mountain pass and I was excited but also scared to death. We moved to Sheridan, WY in 1990 and I have driven ridden that pass on my BMW and my Honda Goldwing and in my SUV and in a Dodge van. That’s a beautiful ride which was always sunny when I drove it. I think I need to talk my wife into loading up our Harley Electraglide and heading to Aspen and the pass this summer. Great video!😎👍
