Watch as we attempt to DYNO TUNE Ford’s 3.5L Powerboost electric hybrid assist version of the EcoBoost F-150.
How will the hybrid Powerboost react to dyno tuning?
They said it couldn’t be done. They said the computer was locked.
BUT - we succeeded! We built smooth power curves for an additional 106.6 ft-lbs of Torque and an extra 84.3 Horsepower!

One of the things I like about this shop is that they do tunes with the hood close! Which is the correct way to do it.

Great video. Are you familiar with the instrument gauge setup on this truck? It looks different compared to the stock options from Ford.

This is a low end trim on this truck. Anything Lariat and above I believe uses the full digital cluster. I have a Platinum Powerboost and it has the better display.

@@Goingforbroke71fwiw, better is subjective. I hate the cheap looking digital tach. Much prefer the digital/analog mix.

Hi I have a 22 Powerboost and am interested, also I am in Toronto. With your tune, does it negatively affect the L/100km mileage? Ballpark what am I looking at to do this tune??

Your dyno numbers seem low for other stock Dyno pulls I've seen for the power boost I've seen closer to 500 lb of torque at the wheels

Each Powerboost is custom tuned on the Dyno.

Does doing a tune void the warranty? What happens after a tune if I need to do a system reset?

No does not void warranty. Once the specific tune, is built for your truck, it can be reloaded. ...if necessary

It's an awesome platform.. I get 30 to 37mpgs on the highway in my 2021 Powerboost, and I currently hold the record for Fastest and Highest HP Powerboost. There are several shops. But unfortunately, it's not about the shop. It's about creating a solid reliable safe and effective tune and having the experience to do it effectively over and over and over. I couldn't actually recommend someone because, I can't say that the person who do is actually doing the tuning would do a responsible safe job that you would get a reasonable result from.

The modes, in anyone, of the F-150. Is more about transmission shifting and throttle response. If you are in any one of the modes. And you put your foot very aggressively into the floor. The vehicles going to pick up very very well. Our tune is going to enhance every one of the modes.

@@internationaldynoauthority693 stock is 430hp / 570tq... It lost that much power thru the drivetrain? Is it a type of dyno that gives diff reading? I had a tune put on at Ford dealership and it dyno'd 550 tq at the wheels. 2022 F150 Powerboost 2 wheel drive with 7.2 kw inverter

@@vinny143 400 hp 500 tq Are the ratings --motor only-- the Hybrid, does not engage on the dyno. Which makes this truck exactly on target (power train loss) just over 20% loss, to the wheels.

This vehicle is a hybrid, and has flex fuel built in. E85 is not readily available, and costs a fortune more to run. Nobody is asking for this. (We DO tune offer E85 tuning), just NO market for it.👌
