I love how you have a 'turbo' fan installed into the ducting (0:47 ). Not sure if its an exhaust fan of just a blower in a heat duct run, but it looks cool, especially in a shop specializing in boost & a dyno!👌🏻👍🏻😄💨🛠️🔧🔩🇺🇸

The results are going to be fairly similar, on pretty much each setup. Setup. Each setup, depending on the camshaft, depending on the RPM range, depending on the carburetor and the spacer and the intake are going to vary. However. You are taking air that is going to travel from point A to point b. You are forcing that air to travel more distance to get to the same destination. This has the effect of speeding the air, and, while it is the same volume. AirSpeed is everything

I owned a dyno jet 168 dyno. I tuned so many Harley's. I built a trailer that I could put my Dyno in and go to events. I would offer $200 for biggest HP of the day with a $25 buy in. Would usually get 20-30 bikes a day. The event would usually pay me $1500 for the event. That was a great time of my life. I subscribed to your channel! I like your set ups

L O T S of testing Should be tried/conducted, and combined and reported to see the effects on different combinations. What video did you watch? What was the title of it? Who conducted it.? Thank you for writing in ...in.... Originally this was Just a tuning session, AFTER the customer added the spacer, and we documented it, and saw the results, we published it.

When you give one of these standalone, systems a chance to try and learn on its own. It will certainly run. It's not going to make a lot of performance. When you put Wally, in front of the same system. System. Where he can custom tune each individual segment, until it is correct. Until the combustion chamber has somewhere between 12:00 to 1:00 and 13.5 to 1. Combined with correct ignition timing, there's going to be a very large increase in the efficiency. That's what we accomplished. We simply corrected it until it ran the way it should

We did, at one point set the ignition timing at 34. We gained 2 horsepower. So we put it back to 32. It was very happy at 32.

I'm splitting hairs but I'm curious if it's the dimples or simply the different spacer geometry.
@internationaldynoauthority693
@internationaldynoauthority693 Ай бұрын
That would be an absolutely great test to do and I totally agree. I think that to do just basic testing. We would have to try a whole bunch of different spacers and spacers with dimples and spacers without dimples and, all different heights and all different styles. And actually do a spacer shootout. However. It would only be valid for that particular engine because every other engine might not work. The same might work the same. That's why when this actually actually worked on this motor. At this time I was impressed. And, I did not say all the spacer is the best thing since sliced bread. Because, who knows. I think you're absolutely right you need to do a lot of testing and stay tuned for our upcoming series because we are going to do a lot of testing on a very modern platform. With a carburetor and a bunch of spacers

I also totally forgot to mention the block heater trick definitely arose from thousands upon thousands of dollars in oil changes alone and research and trial and error. Also wouldn't it be better to get it started and get it to a relatively decent operating temperature? By saying that it's pretty obvious that to do that it would most likely be easier to quickly swap the toilet out for a carb for that process and then swap it back because for the reason that from gasoline compared to methanol the quantity of liquid to liquid is not even close to each other. Listen it's clearly obvious that it isn't you gentleman's first rodeo but i just thought I'd make a suggestion whether or not it's a decent one or not remains to be seen lol. But I'm sure I'll know if u respond. Cheers men

So tell me one good reason why in 2024 your primitive flying toilet isn't flying into the dumpster. To have a beautiful high end engine like that and to not have complete and accurate fuel control is an absolute joke. Sorry to rain on your buddies parade but he needs to get out of the stone age.

When competing in a class where ALL electronic controls are prohibited, you have a few choices: Carburetor, flying toilet, mechanical injection. While it would be nice to go straight to a dual injection,all run from HALtech. It would move his vehicle to another class. TRY to think of ALL sides of competition.... Rules are in place to maintain certain aspects of competition. Classes are put in place, so you CAN, run on a budget ......and have loads of fun. While tuning a Haltech would be a lot of fun. And would be certainly much more intricate, we would have a lot more control. Unfortunately, or, fortunately, in this case. It's not allowed. And, these guys have a lot of fun on a week-to-week basis. They can keep their budget down under $30,000 for the entire season.

Our customers arrive, with every manner, of control unit for fueling. We are a tuning shop. Shop. Are not here to tell customers, that they should use this type or that type of injection or fuel. We are not here to make excuses for them either. We are here, to tune them, with in the absolutely best Bubble of perfection that we can based on, what they bring. Tuning is tuning in is tuning. Is tuning. Whether it's a carburetor either, or a Haltech.

That restriction isn't a "restriction". It's a air swirler like the F-150 2.7 has. People have dyno'd power losses when removing them. But what do the Ford Engineers know. Kind of like there are no gains from adding intakes. The oem is already a Cai from the factory. These intake companies just sell snake oil. It's all marketing 😂😂😂

Here's the issue, we were not there to test the spacer We were there to tune. Look up the business. This is what we do. We tune. We only tune to make the most power out of each engine each time. Yes, we were impressed that this particular change, resulted in a very nice increase. However. The proof is irrefutable on this engine at this time with this cam with the set of cylinder heads with this carburetor, on this combination, it makes a very, very big difference. It runs better. It fuels better, it absolutely makes a boatload of power. For this particular combination. We are no way associated with the people who make the spacer. We outright purchased the spacer. Actually the person who was dyno testing their own motor. Purchased the spacer. And they were only trying it to see if it did anything. At all. The dyno operator had no expectations. And at no point did we know anything about this until we actually tested it. And yes on this day it was very very very impressive. And it worked very well and it made big big big power. Huge power

We invite you, to come down. To the dyno. And try your own combination of parts. We invite you to try any combination of spacers that you like. We invite you, to test and tune for yourself. That way you can see whether, it was or was not useful for you on your combination on your engine with your camshaft with your cylinder heads with your intake with your carburetor. And the young man. Thank you very much. He's older than you are
