I may be biased (I am, I have a 2017 F250), but these are such great looking trucks. The F2/3/450 are just perfect looking. I hope they never change the exterior. ;-)

Agreed I hope the 150 front doesn’t get carried over more or less the headlight design not a huge fan of the new 150 headlight design. Plus the 17 and up exterior design still looks really modern for being almost 5 years old.

Xlt works for me, use a truck as a truck, 6.2 gas is bullet proof engine if maintained and pulls anything on flat road, diesel for hills I would want.

I would like the screen to be able to really dim. The screen in my 2018 can’t get dark enough for me and with Apple CarPlay the screen is even brighter. I would also like to see the generator option on the super duty.

The lariat sport package is available on the 2021 and 2020 for that matter. I think new update is that the sport package will be available on the XLT for the 1st time.

You made a good point towards the end about removing certain items, even on higher trims. I really do wish the “package” way of ordering would go away and allow people to create itemized lists based off of single items at a time. I also agree on the screen size issue. Even my ‘20 Laramie Level 2 has the 8.4” NAV screen and it’s perfect. I specifically didn’t want the 12” option due to clutter and vertical versus horizontal screen orientation.

I agree. It would take a bit more time to create the order, but it would work well for the customer. I understand European dealers and other countries use a "custom" order system which means few models are sitting on a floor room showroom. Many years ago I lived in Germany and the large Ford dealer only had a couple of models on the showroom floor. I leased a Ford for the time I lived in Germany which really worked out great.

I just ordered the f 250 xlt 4 wheel drive this time with 4 full doors 8 to 10. Weeks for delivery! Traded my 2016 xlt other than routine maintenance nothing ever failed on this truck 109,000 miles

The new 2022 F350 Super Duty is a great looking truck. I really like the larger screen in the truck over the 8 inch. 8 inch was great but it looked small in it. Plus as I get older a larger screen helps. With Sync 4 and Voice Commands I think it will be great to use handsfree. I know my Sync3 and Android Auto worked awesome in my Edge. It actually could be controlled with my cellphone. I drove a Tremor a few days ago. I loved the better telescoping steering and the telescoping foot pedals. It was just so cool. :) Truck was on 35 inch tires handled really smooth on the paved road and lots of power and acceleration. Blew past a cop test driving it- oooops! The price tag on one I drove was $82k. When you do a build online and actually print what comes with the difference packages it is a lot. The Platinum package is incredible. But it sure isn't the farm truck we need to pull a gooseneck horse trailer. Over all if we didn't need a dually it would be a great truck. Our current F350 Super Duty trucks are a 2004 6.0 with delete done and a 2000 7.3L dually. Momma needs a new truck.

I just ordered my 2022 7.3 Lariat Ultimate Tremor F-250 March 14th, Every video I've watched on the 7.3 shows that the 7.3 godzilla is a beast! I tow a 34' Grey Wolf 27rr with my 2015 5.0 F150 now and looking forward to my new 250. I have never owned a 3/4 ton truck. I am a true Ford fan and looking forward to the new Sync 4 vs my Sync 2!

I really like the HVAC controls not being integrated into the electronics. If I need the defrosters, for example, I need them now. I don’t want to start fussing with the computer when the road turns icy and the windshield fogs over. Likewise, I don’t want to interrupt the map while driving through an un familiar city because my wife’s feet are cold and she needs to take off her sweatshirt because she’s hot. Great video. I share your opinions on almost every point. Just subscribed.

I’ve been waiting to see how the next infotainment system would look in the SD’s. Once again class and functionality from Ford. Sadly I’ll have to keep with my 19 limited dually😉. I definitely was hoping to see some of the seat, flat top work space options available for the SD’s, just like others have already stated; it would make more sense in a work platform truck rather than the daily drivers. Hopefully these updates are available when I’m ready for the next go round. Thanks for the info!

I’m partial to the Ford trucks, but my son-in-law recently bought a 2021 Ram and it looks great! Not only the interior, but the exterior as well. It’s my opinion the 12” screens are too big. Even though the Ram’s interior looks great, the 12” screen is right there in your face. I agree with you JD, the 7-9” screen is perfect.

Needs ALL of the interior F-150 updates. It should’ve gotten the flat-lay back seats, the fold down work space, & the full digital dash behind the wheel. 🤷🏻♂️

@@scottcoleman7304 probably $$. Those things would’ve added cost to the truck, requiring Ford to either raise MSRP significantly, for trucks people already complain are too pricey, or cut into profit. And OEMs never cut into profit.

@@aggiewoodie But the Cabs and interiors were exact copies previously, which would most definitely save money on the manufacturing line, now they are two different dashes and consoles which causes them to have to develop two different sets of molds and everything else thats involved with creating two different interiors. I can only assume that would cost them MORE money. Maybe they wanted to separate the two trucks a little more from each other who knows. I don't think this saves them money though. But I have no knowledge of it.

I have a 2019 would consider going to a 22 because I’m more interested in the 7.3 gas which wasn’t available when I bought my 2019 6.7. I hope the larger screen is available in an xlt with a tremor package. I want maximum bang for my bucks in a work spec truck

The large screen is a hit for me. I do like the sport package, it looks really good. Only problems I see is the cost. Like other manufacturers, they have priced so many of us now out of the market.

The sport package is esthetically what I'm looking for, but I don't need the price or gimmicks of lariat trim. Silverado's HD Custom and Ram's Bighorn Sport hit the mark here for me.

I agree. Truck prices are through the roof. No deals to be had in my area on HD trucks. There's barely any on the lots. No good financing deals either. Between the booming construction going on in my area and everyone buying trucks to tow RV's while working from home during covid, it's a sellers market. Used prices are almost as high as new.

@@JB101inc - I heard that they are now finally offering a “Blackout Package” on the XLT as an option instead of all that chrome. So that’s one way to get a sporty looking truck without paying a mortgage price for one.

I'm glad they put the 12" screen but wish they would of done the interior like the F150 all digital dash, folding console work station and the new seats. I'm going to be in the market for a new 2022 just hope they don't change the interior after I order.

I'm in the market for a 2022 F350 PSD SRW CC 4WD SB and I'd like to know the max payload capacity. I'll go Platinum but not if it costs me payload capacity, the Lariat package is a minimum. My current truck is a 2015 F350 PSD SRW CC Lariat and my payload cap. is 3600 lbs. I'm hoping the 2022 version of the same truck gets the payload number up a few hundred pounds. I want to stay with a SRW because we have a truck camper and we beach camp a lot and a dually brings other issues. We want a 5er and the increased tongue weight is a limitation. Even a 200 lbs increase in payload cap. would help us. Any payload numbers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for all the info BTBRV, you're a valuable asset for me!

IF you can get the gas engine (7.3 liter) you will have a decent amount of payload. I use a truck camper all the time but have never had a dually. I want the F350 CC 4x4 long bed since I also have a 5er using a gooseneck hitch. My current 2500 is too light for my GCWR setup since the camper plus the utility trailer with my Jeep on board is well over the GVWR

I've been waiting on Sync 4. I got Sync 2 on my Mustang, and I hate that the next year they made Sync 3 available. But, it's a 50 Year edition. I'll never sell it. When I saw Sync 4 in the F-150, I knew it was just a matter of time. I didn't want the same thing to happen again.

Not happy about them not introduce the new driver assistance and hybrid, as well as new cabin design. However, they could be holding them off for 2023 or 2024. I like that they are not rush into making all the changes, since they already have part shortage on f150s

For Towing the newest Ford's has find a way to stop the rust underneath the 60k plus 150s 250s. Bet you don't get out of the dealer before the undercarriage is rusty.

The Ram screen and Uconnect is and will be way better then any SYNC product. Ram screen is so intuitive and everything is easy to find.

I love the upgrades especially the 12” LED Landscape mode! I heard that the 2023 seats were getting a softer more comfortable foam to make longer road trips easier on our buttocks and backs…???

You should definitely upgrade ASAP. On the subject of the screen, if they would allow you to mirror your phone while in park the horizontal orientation would be better. Otherwise I think I’d prefer the vertical orientation because the split screen function just seems to work better for my brain.

A note on the infotainment screens. I wish they would remove the bright colors of backgrounds when its dark outside. If there is a textured background or animation, it should be turned off and only allow the button item to be displayed when the headlights are on during the night. They could make this a setting that the customer can customize.

Hi JD I’m a 2021 Ford Super Duty owner with Lariat package , I’m very happy with what I have , the larger screen is nice but I think it borders on being a little bit too much I’m concerned with all that info being available and being distracted while driving. I do love that color though.

My question is this? When do you think the hybrid will come into the super duty line up and give us the generator option as well? To me the Tremor with a hybrid with a generator would be almost the perfect truck. Tow, off-road and work all in one truck.

Did they fix the area where you are supposed to connect the tow chains that was impossible to use with standard chain hooks. They made the holes too small before.

We will be getting a new truck in 2022 and this is the truck we will be getting (F-450). We were going to get a Ford anyway because we now have a 2000 F-250 7.3 diesel with 257k miles and we just love it. I like the interior and especially the 12” touch screen. It might be a distraction, but have you ever tried using a 5” GPS. Now that’s distracting because you can hardly see it on the dash. Overall it is a awesome looking truck. Can’t wait until our Ford dealer gets one in so I can test drive it. You have a GREAT channel!! Keep up the good work.

I’d hold off on the 2022 for now. I have a 2022 F-450, one of the first in Texas back in August, and regret not waiting until the truck and parts were widely available. This thing has gone into reduced power (limp) mode more than once, power tailgate failure, driver door power door lock failure, miss matched trim panels that can’t be replaced because the parts aren’t available, hubs not locking, spray in bed liner peeling off, fan for driver seat cooler failing, engine-exhaust brake system failing, alignment from the factory way off, and a few other issues. The problems are ongoing because the dealers can’t get the parts for the new systems on the 2022 yet. Sync 4 does not have any apps out for it yet and does not support the Sync 3 apps. Aftermarket parts, power running boards or grill guards ect., aren’t out for it yet and you cannot use 2021 or earlier due to system changes for 2022. The list of why to wait goes on and on, don’t buy it just for the larger screen. For $100k I expected decent build quality, quality control, and reliability, but got none of that.

I’m wondering is the lariat value package will get push button start? 2021 you need the lariat luxury package to get push button start. Also love the night trim option. Hopefully night is still an option for 2022. I’ll be ordering a lariat value (hopefully push button start) night edition. 4.2 gears and 6.2L v8 - hopefully with 10 speed transmission??

Do you have any idea if it will get the auto drive like the 2021 F 150? (There is an over the air update for the 2021 F 150 to make it hands free auto drive)

I have a 2020 King-ranch 350 crew long bed I ordered it it with every option so I like the bigger screen so I order a 2022 but the ford dealership told me they can’t build it with Adaptive steering because the ford plant can not get this right now this is a great feature in these super duty’s I also had a full loaded 2017 so I’m not sure if I should hold off for 2023? I just might 😃

Any word on the Superduty transmission? They have a recall on the new 10speed transmission. Pulling a large fifth wheel and transmission problems is the last thing I want on a new truck.

I have a 2020 F250 Lariat Ultimate and hardly touch the 8" screen. The most I use the touch screen is to turn the steering wheel heat on / off which should be a hard dash or steering wheel button FORD, and not a stupid home screen button on the Sync system. I could care less about a 12" screen to be honest either then a bigger screen for the rear camera would be great. My 2020 dash layout works for my needs. I get that they have to compete with RAM, but why not totally update the interior to be more competitive interior wise?

In terms of screens so long as they could go into night mode and blackout I'm fine with the size of the screen. I have a 7" Pioneer aftermarket stereo system which with the press of a button can go completely black. If the Ford sink has that ability it's a winner.

I traded a 2020 F350 platinum for a 2021 F150 King Ranch... Thought it would be a nice change... "Can't wait to get back into a diesel"... Definitely regret my decision, mostly did it for fuel economy, have a 45 minute one way commute to the office. The bigger screen is really nice, I was hoping the 2022 super duty would have the same seats as the 2021 F150. They are super comfortable... I have a 2020 lariat that we put a pronghorn on for a work truck, feels like a night and day difference on the interior comfort. My biggest complaint with ford, and we run ALOT of them... has to do with the trim packages..... I would love to have a king ranch solid color with matching bumpers... You can only get a solid in a Platinum/Limited/Lariat.... To get a king ranch without the tan on the bottom you have to order a monochromic package, "too much shine for me".....

I’m looking to get a 2021 or 2022 F-250, but I do not like the push button to start the engine up. Could I get a new F-250 with a key for the ignition switch as opposed to a push start? If so, what features would I lose?

Great video.. and i definitely agree with you on the size of the screen Big is not necessarily better... I'm a Chevy guy first, Ford second, I have a 20 Trail Boss and love it... my next truck may be a Ford. Dodge lost me with that stupid dail shift

Why is trailering navigation not available with the Connected Services subscription on Super Duty trucks? The trailering navigation is only available on the F150 with Sync 4 and a Connected Services subscription. Does anyone know if Ford plans to offer an upgrade to the Super Duty Sync 4 systems so that it will include trailering navigation?

I wish they would put the F150 hybrid 3.5 twin turbo in the F250 . It has more torque than the 7.3 gaa...then they could offer the 7.2KW propower and offer more payload and towing capability than the F150

It would appear as if the folks at Ford HD trucks have finally woken up trying to catch up getting wise to Rams 2022 HD trucks. Fords 2022 Tremor Lariat Ultimate package HD model f-250 is looking really good.
