Exactly! I hear that all the time from truck owners without realizing they're pulling too much and then wondering why they run into powertrain issues. Then you get people towing the max without any sort of weight distribution setup.. recipe for disaster

@@CarsWithSteve yeah I see so many people ignore or just not aware that the are overloading their trucks with campers. Some camper dealers tell you all you need are air bags & e rated tires but that does nothing to increase payload.

You're welcome Leo! Curious, does your SuperDuty have a build date yet? Agree with you on the transparency in payload, it's one thing in trucks that should be spelled out clearly when ordering. The payload with occupants is interesting. I always thought payload was all seats filled but it's not. The Ford tow guides say that towing is based on a 150lb driver and passenger in available seats but in the SuperDuty payload guide says "Maximum payload capabilities are for properly equipped base vehicles with required equipment and a 150-lb. driver and vary based on cargo, vehicle configuration, accessories and number of passengers." The way that translates is towing numbers are based on 3 - 6 passengers (depending on configuration) but payload is only based on a single 150 lb driver and a stripped down truck. Either way, it shouldn't be this challenging for people to figure out payload numbers

@@CarsWithSteve I'm January 30th order date on a F350 XL DRW 7.3 gas with 8' bed and crewcab but with every single upgrade you can throw in it. Dealer told me taking off 5th wheel, bed liner and bed cover would reduce the build time. As of now its going to a December truck and with things going they said it might get pushed into being a 2023 model instead of a 2022.

@@devonm5037 Bed liner and bed cover would definitely make sense to remove. Aftermarket LineX bedliner is twice as thick as the factory one There are some good aftermarket 5th wheel packages you could look into as well if you need it sooner. I think if it's not assembled until December you're definitely looking at a 2023 model

@@CarsWithSteve Yup! If I actually needed it I'd remove it all but im fine with waiting. At least this way everything is under Ford and im not jumping to each manufacturer for problems like I am/was with my current vehicle and the after market add ons.

Thanks! And it's not on either sticker.. the yellow payload sticker has the seating capacity, payload and tire pressure while the white sticker has the axle weight ratings, VIN and build basics

You can turn off Auto Regen in the cluster screen if you want to manually start DPF refen. If you don't have that option you'd need to have your dealer activate it or do it yourself using Forscan. Once Auto Regen is turned off you'll have a message pop up on screen when the filter is near or at saturation prompting the need to initiate cleaning. Hope this helps!
