I've owned my 4xe Rubi since 02/20/23. Im averaging 30.1mpg since delivery with a combination of city and highway driving (but mostly city). I end to end charge at work and home. I use it the way it was intended with mostly city driving less than 24 miles each way. I admit, it's not that much better on long haul trips, but Jeeps aren't made to be efficient vehicles. The diesel isn't a viable option in Southern CA based on fuel costs (diesel is the most expensive) and emissions standards. My '18 JLU Sport S with 6spd manual, 3.5" lift and 35's was averaging 17 highway and 14 city. For me, anything in the 20's would be stellar. My 30mpg is amazing. It's how you drive and where you drive that will affect your mileage. For city dwellers, it's a no brainer. And for the times I go on long road trips, I cycle through the e-save mode and charge my battery as I drive and then utilze the EV mode and then recharge, etc. until I get to my destination. The power never drops. The hybrid mode always has power in reserve, so the 375hp and 470 lb/ft of torque is there, even with

@@miodragpetrovic1447 Not worried, but pleased it's better than it was. My Jeep also goes 0-60 in about 5.5 seconds, which is not why I bought a Jeep, either, but I was pleased it did. There are many concessions one endures when buying a Jeep. When a concession is mitigated, all the better.

Great post, thank you so much, really took away some of my confusion and I felt so disappointed when I felt like you always have to charge your Jeep but if you can use the savings mode and almost always have a charge that is awesome to hear.

Using L/100km would be much more useful as that is the format for fuel economy on sales materials, Natural Resources Canada fuel economy ratings, and on-board computer displays.

I am still very confused of how jeeps hybrid system works...in principle, hybrid should largely increase the mpg at least for city (may be not for highway) due to the fact that hybrid system should be able to store energy from braking. Those collected energy will be used for later acceleration. This is the key why most japanese made hybrid cars have very high city mpg. But it seems that this is not the case for jeep? Kinda confused of how jeep's hybrid works...

What’s there to be so confused about… the key difference is they use Japanese people where as jeep uses “Americans”

The Jeep Wrangler is not an efficient car to begin with, even with the addition of a parallel plug in hybrid system. Though primarily using EV mode will allow you to make the most use out of this vehicle.!

He may have been in hybrid mode but the electric battery was dead and said nothing about having the regerative breaking on, he was very misleading. This is basically the fuel efficiency on only the gas engine.

Wonder how many litres it gets in peak hour traffic and if it is better when the battery is charged up, my 2022 Nissan pro 4x warrior gets about 14 in traffic and 7:5 on freeway it’s a diesel but eats the fuel going to work, thinking of a hybrid, how much in Canadian dollars new is this car mate here in australia they are 90k

With only 1% battery do you feel like the 4xe had the same power/torque as when the battery had more charge? I’m in the market and wondering if I ‘lose’ that quickness/torque when the battery is depleted. Thank you.

The system always keep some battery (sort of a reserve tank that isn’t accessible during EV mode). So that it always has the same amount of torque and power.

I work from home with a level 2 charger. I drive in town around 50 miles per day and charge when I’m home. Out of 100 miles on average 12 miles are on gas the rest is electric. So my in town average is 1/2 gallon per 100 miles. Electricity cost is $.08 per kWh so about a dollar per charge from

That equates to 60 mpge in my Jeep wrangler rubicon 4xe. Now highway driving at 75 mph I get 19 mpg, 60 mph I get 21 mpg. 90+ % of my driving is city so it works for me.

Wrangler is very popular because of our weather, crappy roads (extra crappy in Quebec) and there is offroad trail everywhere . Gaz is expensive here and in Quebec its worst as for electricity is cheap and in quebec very cheap.

The charger is approximately $1000us and without it, it takes 14 hours to charge your Jeep. They give you a cord but it’s from the manufacturer. The separate online Jeep charger 🔌 is closer to $1000 😮
