The good folks at Kemimoto reached out and asked me if I would like to try a set of their rear passenger foot pegs. It was perfect timing since I did not have rear pegs on the Low Rider yet. I was excited to give them a try and see how they compare.

This is great. You found us a nice alternative to the more expensive rear pegs. Saved me some money. I'll get them installed soon. Looks like it only takes a few minutes.

Cool video. Will the passenger left peg protect the primary if the bike fell over on that side?

It could, would depend on the type of drop and your current bag configuration. I would imagine the bags would hit first. Ride Safe

I wish you would ld have mentioned the exhaust upgrade. I have the OG pipes with tab performance slip ons. Not gonna work. Any suggestions?

The stock exhaust blocks the rear peg mount. Unless you change out the pipes they will not work unfortunately. You are correct. I did mine after the upgrade, and should have mentioned they would be blocked. But didn’t have the stock pipes on any more. My apologies. Any person who wants rear passenger capability will have to change the pipes I think.

Hi, I bought these pegs and they work fine, but they just will not stay up. Yours look like they offer some resistance when you put them up, but mine just flop up and down. I did basically the exact same install as you in this video, but I'm wondering if I'm missing something obvious. Any help appreciated, thank you!

Thanks for the feedback and question. I had the same issue, all I did was tighten them until they held better in the up position. Give that a shot, it will tighten up and stay consistent with the pressure of the bolts. Ride safe

My shifter side: The mount won't screw in tight enough, there is 2 threads in between the swing arm and the mount. The mount spins and won't tighten down any more. Looks like a run to the hardware store tomorrow.

Thanks for the comment. That’s odd, did you remove the shim before installing the mounting bolt? Maybe it is not deep enough. Just a thought. The little U shim comes off them bolt then back on so it can get in deep enough. Also make sure you are using the right bolts. Hope it helps.

@@justkillnbugz Oh, I did not see a shim. Its very possible that could have slipped off and not notice. I'm going to see if I cant find a shim/washer, or worst case, find a shorter bolt.

Hey man, I'm at a bit of a loss..my LRST has blanks for rear pillion pegs on the frame. No plugs in em..the left side is an easy fit and location the right is between the pipes..I'm relocation my mid mount pegs throwing the spring clips in the tool draw and using the clips that we used on every other harley footpeg. Maybe because my bike was a Thai assembled they are different to US builds ..I don't know. But my mount points aren't blacked out either.

Hey Mark, thanks for the comments, that's interesting, no thread holes either???. On my Heritage Classic, same softail frame as the LRST, the plugs were located between the stock pipes (where it was on the LRST but changed when I changed the stock pipes). I would take the bike to the dealer and ask them if there is something different or out of spec on yours if you do not have the same plugged bolt holes for the rear pegs. That seems kinda off to me. Keep us posted as to what you find.

@@justkillnbugz no it has thread holes just not plugged up and they aren't blacked out..They're shiny metal so you can locate them.

I bought the gun metal grey, mate..everyone has a black bike..so when the grey came out i jumped at it.

Thanks for the question. Sure, I don’t see any reason why they would not. They use the standard mounting point which are accessible with the stock pipes. Thanks again and ride safe.

It’s hard to get them between the stock pipes the peg hardware especially cause it hits the bottom pipe..

I don’t believe you can mount these in the same location with the stock pipes.. I’m trying to do it myself and the only location that works on the exhaust side is between the pipes. And if you want them to be at the same height on both sides you can’t use the location he is using here… I almost think you are supposed to take out the bolt that holds the bag brace and mount the peg over the top of it with the new longer bolt.

Did a demo ride on the ST and found it gutless compared to the Rocket. Since you have both what say you?

I can say that I have not found anything that compares to my rocket, lol. She has spoiled me for expectations on what torque feels like. The low rider has it’s purpose and definitely has some pop, same engine as my RGST but lighter. It’s a fun bike to ride and I love the way the 117 wakes up at about 3500 rpm. Of course the rocket is ALWAYS awake in that sense. Ride safe.

LOL, Thanks for the comments. I suffer from a common West Coast condition called Riding in 100+ degree weather with short sleeved shirts and riding gloves. Ride safe
