The world famous Megavalanche in Alpe d'Huez has kicked off and racing is THIS weekend. I rode the course and I'm here to break it down for the spectators at home and any racers who have not yet arrived. Tell me your thoughts and where to ride next in the comments below!

This is truly an awesome experience. You're ready to take part to the race now. Just watch Kilian bron youtuber and Owlaps. By seeing their winning runs I was faster in my local track, too.😅

Agreed, it was spectacular! And I’ve seen them! Those guys are incredibly fast and strong, consistent too! Riding the course and understanding the total length really put the level of effort required into perspective for me. It’s like taking two or three EWS queen stages and combining them together, plus snow and other racers 😂

Haha, you’re too kind! I’d love to participate in the race, but can’t deny that the mass start on snow worries me about potential injury (through no fault / mistake of my own)

Hi I'm just wondering if the MEGAVALANCHE trail is open during the whole summer ?, or is it open only in that prep week ? As you've said, I want to avoid the potential injuries, due to mass start. But I want to ride it with some friends, like you did to have time for some photos and some pauses,

Hey there! I believe it’s always open, but check the lift hours for the highest lift, as well as trail status. I honestly just got lucky when I planned my trip that it was the week leading up to the mega (always early July)… I didn’t plan it intentionally, so I never asked anyone at the park about if it’s always open or not.

hi i am considering buying the torque al 5, is that a recommendation and do you have problems with the bike, how long does it last, and is ther play in the frame

Hey there! I’ve got a couple videos on my channel highlighting the Torque and I’d recommend you check them out 🤘🏼 no major issues with the bike, no play in the frame. Not sure what you mean by how long does the bike last - all bikes last… until they don’t 😅 and that’s always a bad day haha. So far I’m confident in its strength

When come to Challenge day, you hardly to get chance to overtake other Biker, some biker have to scold, some bad word, and angry to other biker, many people don't like this, and i like Mountain of Hell more.

I could certainly see that happening, the trails are fairly narrow. However that type of experience is common with any mass start race, including XC. Once you get into the narrow and technical riding, passing can become very difficult. Best to try and get out front early!
