All my sleeping bags have been Rab I've never had a problem with any of them

I am looking to buy my first sleeping bag and this looks like a good candidate. Also the more expensive Neutrino 400, though I believe less warm but lighter). These models seem to be a bit constrained at the feet? What is your experience? I am a side spread-legged sleeper :D Do you think that these Rabs would still be a good choice? I hear about the Nemo Riff as a side sleeper bag. This one seems to be also wider at the feet, at least in the pictures.

There isn't a huge amount of room for turning/side sleeping so you might be better going for a wider bag.

I sleep in all positions. I find the ascent fine. Its similar to the "valley" cut mountain equipment bags, but much roomier than the pricer alpine bags, albeit at a weigh penalty. I have the 1100 and Im looking at the 700. The mrs has the 900. Great bag for comfort 👍

@@hedgerowsandzerosDo you think the 1100 is a bit much for wild camping in Scotland? I’m a wee bit concerned about weight and was thinking about possibly the 900? How has your experiences been?

@@derekhughes4028 Hi Derek, The 1100 is a great bag below 5c for me but the 900 is more versatile in my opinion. If you want a bag for below freezing then both bags work. Given its limited use Ive not had the 1100 out much as its way too hot above 5c. Personally I think the 900 is a better option as you can use it around 10c and lower. 👍

Did you look at the 2021 version to save a few quid.. Or is the 2022 an update?

I was unaware there was a new version until the shop assistant brought it out from the back. Unless you're making a significant saving I would definitely go with the 2022 model. The zip is a lot better.
