I DESPISE people who say amazon gear= fake. Even people who don't actually knowbanything about service dogs or the vests always get nasty about owner trained dogs and be like 'yeh I bet they just bought that vest off amazon!' Or the best one I've seen 'omg she got that vest from ETSY! SAYS ITS ALL!' Says all what? So people aren't allowed customised vests? We should all have identical vests? Bugger off lmao people are numpties. Plus the julius k9 style harnesses really are just the simplest thing to start with, especially before you know if your dog will make it as an SD, no point spending silly money straight away and then realising your dogs isn't remotely cut out for SD work anyway

Idk if my other comment got deleted but for the tag sound you don't like you could get a tag silencer on etsy or even make one! It's like a little pocket that hangs on the collar and holds the tags. You even get one that says Service Dog or Do Not Distract. Another bonus is people won't hear his collar jingle and be looking around and staring at him

I'm about to do a new gear video, being planning to do an update one for a while and was guna do it once I got the stuff you sent me but figured that would kinda take away from showing the new stuff if I showed everything in that video, so just showed I think 2 of his old vests and then the new set. I'm still guna do an actual updated gear video though :)

Oh my goodness 💞. I learned so much from this KZfaq. I to am an open heart surgery survivor. My first temporary surgery was in 1957. The full corrective surgery was in 1967. Thirteen hours long when I was 14 years old. My service dog, Benjamin is a true lifesaver. I liked the leashes very much. I have one similar to your over the shoulder. It has some unique features we could collaborate on. The dog wipes are a must get for me. I’m going to need to watch this again and again to retrieve all the information. Thank you for putting this together.

Hi love the video ❤ for the tag collar you can get slide on tags that don't make any noise I use them alot beause I hate the sound of tags, just a suggestion xx

I don't like the clinking of the tags either, especially when I'm sleeping. We put a little rubber tag thing in between the two tags on our dog's collar. It works great. I got the idea from those rubber key covers that are different colors to identify what keys are for. Tried them first, but not big enough to fit the tags. I think the little rubber tag thing was for kids as a zipper pull or something like that. It's flat. We have also used the plastic pet insurance tag in between the two metal tags. It helps too.

I found a service dog tag pouch to keep them from rattling its like 9 dollars on Amazon but since you sew maybe you can whip one up pretty easily for his leather collar just an idea I am looking into making one for my girl and it's a really simple design... I also love the down stay mat

Great video. Great to see you use boots on Zion. My wife uses Ruffwear Grip Trex boots on her service dog. They work great. It didn’t take long for her dog to get use to them. They work really good for harsh grass and stickers. You can buy them in pairs so if you need different sizes for front or back. Her dog wears a size smaller on her hind paws.

We recently just got Wag Wellies for boots, they have the “croc” style too. But they have “slits” to go around dew claws so the boot sits flush and the dews can hang out. So far they’re the best fitting I’ve found - ruffwear tended to spin even though they were fit properly.

You’ve got to try the brand “Muttluks” for dogs with front dew claws. I use the mud monsters for most seasons, but they have a few designs. Make sure you measure properly though!

When I do socks only I use velcro around the tops.

I recommend getting a tag silencer for his collar. My sister hates the sound of them clinging too, whereas I prefer it, as my dog is small.

Do the boots help with hot pavement too? Where I live the cold and heat tend to get severe fairly often… Will definitely be looking for cooling vests and insulation vests + staying home as much as possible when it gets that bad

I find the tags silencers super helpful! I know petco has them for most of the common tag shapes. I never noticed how much it helped until ours broke and it was constant jiggles.

I have an over the shoulder rope leash (it's multicoloured so goes great with his new gear) it's tue perfect for him to just walk nicely in a heel, he usually walks better just from having that leash, but it's kinda short so it's awkward if he needs to go in front on stairs, so now I often use a longer leash with clips to adjust it, but the clips are in stupid places , it's too short to use over should even though it says it can be used for that (yes marleys small, but my other hands free leash works fine) and the clips aren't at enough spots to adjust round your waist either, which sucks m cuz I'd hoped to use it both of those ways, now I just have to use it like a regular bleach except that it's longer

I saw your video about your Service Dog in the hospital and what are your recommendations on shoes? My Service Dog Zoey is Half Husky and Half Pitbul but she has the double undercoat as a Husky and severely overheats while wearing anything on her feet, even in the winter and also she is the MASTER of figuring a way to remove them. I've bought at least 16 different pairs and... off they come 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
